Nice quiet generator for the price.

I bought this to replace a Honda EU3000is generator that I loved. Sadly, the Honda would never run our trailer air conditioner. Since everything is included, even a funnel to fill the oil, I took the box with us and I set this generator up over July 4th weekend. I did all the initial prep, it fired right up and after letting it run for a little while to break it in so to speak, I turned it off and connected the trailer to the RV plug. I restarted the generator and fired up the air conditioner and the power meter never went above 50%. It has a little bigger engine that the Honda, but I think it is easily as quiet as the Honda EU3000is generator was. The remote is a nice touch if you don't want to go outside on a cold morning to start it.

Looking Forward to Using

I believe this will be a great unit. As I live in altitude (6.5K'), requiring high altitude kits to operate, so haven't started it up yet. Great packaging and instruction manual. Since altitude kits only go to 6K-7K, wondering how it will run at 9K' where I intend to use it most. Wonder if fuel injection is in the works? I hate the thought of disassembly each time I go somewhere else.

Everything one needs

Just received it and added oil and gas, it fired up on the second try. Nice and quiet on idle, loaded it up with a/c unit on my trailer and was surprised that it purred along at 25 % load with the air set on medium. Did a 5 hour break in period which is recommended all went well. I liked the two 120 volt outlet because they accepted the alternate prongs ie vertical and horizontal. What I did not care for was the voltage gage layout and the writing below it which is hard to see and seems confusing to me, understand having the lighted meter and fuel gauge is a huge plus for me, maybe I am not use to reading it all of it yet. So far I like what I got excellent generator.

Simple to operate

I haven't powered much with it yet, but is ridiculously easy to start and operate. I would have given five stars, but the included manual appears to be for a different revision of the generator, because the picture of the control panel does not match the actual control panel. The latest manual available on-line appears to match the actual control panel, but some of the described decals are different from the ones on my generator.

Super Quiet and Powerful

This generator is really quiet and very easy to operate. I ordered the dual fuel model so that I can either run it on regular unleaded gas or propane. I will run our microwave and A/C in our trailer at the same time. It is fairly light at around 100 lbs which makes it easy to load and unload out of the back of the truck. Looking forward to many years of use.

Quiet, easy startup

After researching and reading many positive reviews we decided to buy this dual fuel generator as back up for power outages. Filled with the oil that is included, do this slowly it will overflow, then attached the propane tank it started right up when the start button was pressed. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Everything I need

Purchased this to power a small off grid cabin. Just the right size to be portable and yet have enough power for some niceties. Also allows me to run some power tools and makes my little 110 welder truly portable. I love the propane option and the electric start means my wife can use it if I'm not around. The remote is handy for shutting it off at night without having to go outside. So far I'm very happy.

IGen4500DG

I've owned this generator for about 1 month and even though I haven't used it to power anything in an emergency situation as intended, I highly recommend this unit for the following reasons: 1)Starts right up, right out of the box and the couple of times I started it afterwards. 2)Duel fuel - both gas and propane worked flawlessly so far. 3)Quiet compared to other bigger generators. 4)Enough wattage to use in an emergency situation in a compact, easy to move/store size. Note: The automatic choke switch was attached and functional In mine. (Others reported a problem where their units had choke switch not plugged in - easy fix either way. ) I feel mine is running a little rough through break in. I'm thinking about changing/updating spark plug to see if this helps as others have stated.

Great Generator for the Cost!

I purschased this generator before a planned power outage in my town. I was able to put the oil in and have it running in 10 minutes after opening the box. We were able to have heat in January in western NY and kept our refrigerator and freezer running. Also, we will use this generator for our camper since it is big enoigh to supply 30 amps to run the AC in the middle of summer. It will be awesone to be able to tap into the propane on the camper to run the generator at camp grounds that do not supply electricity.

Met all expectations.

Easy to set up. Everything I needed was included. Took a few minutes to find the remote. It was on the pull start cord. Hooked up the battery and it started right away on gas. After run in, tried on RV. It ran everything including 13500 HVAC and microwave, lights, pumps and extra fan. Never went over 75% including surge. Also ran on propane, same conditions without exceeding 80%. So far so good! Tested on my son's RV, he ordered on as well.
