Sharp edges and off center

So far it's good haven't really used it but it is quiet . The openings for the battery and oil openings are like razor blades they could have smoothed out the plastic. The oil drain plug is almost impossible to get to. They could have just made the opening a bit bigger or moved it to the left.

Great Product

I bought this for a home backup. I just went through the start up and used it for the first time. It's very easy to set up and use. Everything was easy except putting the oil in. Read the instructions and go slow! I feel really good having this generator for power outages.

Great backup system for my travel trailed

This generator works to power everything in my 22' travel trailer without too much noise. Lots of great features, love that it has a battery that charges as you run it, as well as the option to have power for many different devices and needs. Heavier than expected, but wheels and handle make transport possible for this petite woman!

Great Features and Price

Just delivered today, looks great. I love the dual fuel feature, electric start, and remote start. We had a power outage a few weekends ago. I borrowed a generator but could not get gas because the stations didn't have the power to pump. Thus the dual-fuel, I have extra propane tanks for the BBQ. I plan to fire it up this weekend.

Quite,duel fuel,safe for electronics

Bought this generator for emergency power back up. I wanted something that would power my refrigerator, freezer, safe for electronics, and runs quite. The generator was well packed however there was a screw loose in the plastic bag. There was also some marks on the cover. The propane port on the front of the generator came off when I removed the propane hose. The generator fired right up and had no problems with my break in. It runs great.

Quite Power

I am a volunteer for the forest service and a co-worker had a generator like this one. It does everything I need when my solar can't stay up with the demand we need. Setup was simple and it's very quiet. Love the dual fuel option. Let's us run on LPG vapor or gasoline. It even runs the A/C unit. I can't find any negatives on this generator. My co-worker has enjoyed his for over a year without any issues. Thanks Westinghouse

Very quiet and good power

After reviewing hours of online videos and written reviews I decided to give the igen4500df a try. I was hesitant with so many reviews showing the choke issue but videos show it is an easy fix. Setup was really easy and it started with the second button push. Runs great. Really quiet. Will run both A/C units but that is its max. Anything else and it will trip the overload on my fifth wheel. Remote start is a must have in my opinion as I do not want to go outside in the cold morning air to be able to start my Coffey pot. Overall I would highly recommend this product based on initial impressions.

Quiet and Smooth Running Generator

I bought this generator to provide emergency backup power. It's fairly compact and quiet, yet appears to be well built and runs really smoothly. Starts easily via pull cord, electric push button or wireless fob. Setup was easy with the included oil and funnel. Side panel openings provide quick access to the battery and oil fill/drain, although it is a bit tight given it was engineered for a small profile and with sound insulating side panels. I love the dual fuel capability and so far have only run it on propane. While its primary purpose will be backup power, I like that it is portable and quiet and could be used for camping, tailgating, etc.

Have only used it a few hours, but happy with it!

I just unpacked it today and set it up. Ran it on propane first and then tried it on gas. The battery wouldn't start it, it was weak and so I gave a couple of pulls on the rope and it started right up. Everything seems to work, plugged into the RV, ran the microwave, tried a power saw, heater. Seemed to respond as expected. It was only missing the bolt to connect the battery, so that slowed things down a bit until I was able locate one that would work. Seems to be well made.

Started right up

Decided to get a generator after losing our freezer and refrigerator food during a 5 day power outage. Compared a lot of them and found the Westinghouse iGen 4500DF to be the best bang for my buck. It was out of stock for a few weeks so I guess a lot of other people think so too. As soon as I was notified it was in stock I placed the order and I had it within 4 days. Hooked up the battery, poured in the oil and gas and connected a propane tank then turned the battery on and hit start on the remote and viola! It purrs! Plugged in both fridge and chest freezer and both compressors kicked on no problem. Switched from gas to propane on the fly and it didn't miss a beat. The multi digital display is handy however I was puzzled by the power read outs, as they seemed a little off though it didn't affect the performance of the unit. Also, grounding of the unit is mentioned in the manual but it's ambiguous. Of the few videos I watched by independent users, it's not even an issue. Overall, very pleased with it. Bring on the next storm!
