Good inventer Genrator so far.

First generator I bought. It was delivered 2 days earlier than promised. After checking if there were any damage, none. Only one thing I recommend is don't hang the remote control key at the start pulling string, it make me thought the key was missing when I check all the accessories in the accessory box. Fill in the oil, hooking up the battery, connect the propane tank. Following the starting steps, the generator run at the first pushing start button. Checking all the displays at the LED data center, It did not show the remaining run time(F), fuel level(L) because I use propane. It showed Voltage moving between the range of 125V to 120 V when I plug in one medium refrigerator and one small freezer. But the LED data center did not show the power output, it showed 0 KW all the running time (with or without the plugging the appliances) I don't know why (that is why I rate 4 stars). After running 3 hours, I stopped the generator by using the remote control. 20 minutes later, I use the remote key started the unit again ,It worked right away (good). The noise was OK from 67Db to 69Db at 10 feet away and 52Db to 57Db when I was inside the house with the patio door open(about 20 feet away). So, so far so good except the power level display(did not show the output KW). I will try to rerun it 20 days later to see how it happen. I recommended it is worth a try by yourself. If you see it is good for your needs, keep it. If it does not satisfy, you have option to return it (30 days).

More than a light weight Generator

The feature of dual fuel is highly desirable and the other panel controls are exceptional. At 4500 peak watts, this is a pretty hefty portable generator. Because it is a invertor type it will not harm any of my home appliance electronics if used during a power outage. And it has plenty of power for power tool use at a remote job-site.

Love this!!

Bought this for going out west and primitive camping in the mountains. Worked absolutely wonderful. My only complaint was that the fuel gauge didn't seem 100% accurate as it read about a 1/4 less than how much fuel was actually in it. Battery strap also unhooked during the drive, but we took very rough roads so I don't blame that on the generator at all. Was able to use the remote to start every single time, and when needed to pull, only required two pulls and it fired up flawlessly. Aside from the fuel gauge issue it worked wonderfully and I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Bought my iGEN4500DFc last Fall

Bought my iGEN4500DFc last Fall as a backup to a potential house power failure. After completing the provided assembly instructions. I started my unit up with the propane connection. The unit started up immediately with the key fob. I ran the unit for 10 minutes. I repeated the above process six months later with no problems. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Won't run on gas

I just unpacked it and it won't start. Called the 800 in the literature and after wasting 1/2 on the phone they tell me I have to call a different number in Canada (not in the literature). Called and I am still waiting for a call back. It won't start or run on gas but it did run on propane.

Love the features

Recently purchased the iGen4500DF for my 30 AMP camper. The dual fuel option is a really great feature which gives you the flexibility of using propane or gas. I plan on hooking up the generator to my camper's rear quick connect hose so I don't have to bring any extra tanks or gas cans. The remote start worked like a charm and will come in handy at night when you need the power and you can remotely turn it off when done. Also, very impressed with the noise levels.

Super quiet and good for a woman!

Why good for a woman? Let me explain. We live in Southern California and every year the Santa Ana winds kick up but last year was really bad and we lost power for several days. Since we did not expect this to happen we were unprepared. Our friends who had power let us lend their generator. I quickly learned that if I did not have a husband I would have been out of luck. I'm not some wimp here, I work out and I think I am decent shape but this thing was unruly, difficult if not impossible for me to move around, and I absolutely could not start it on my own since it was a pull start. Not too mention it made the loudest racket! Don't get me wrong I was grateful to have the power for several days but I thought, never again! So we bought this Westinghouse iGen4500. It took a bit to get started the first time since the automatic choke wasn't adjusting correctly and the instructions told us to fill the reservoir with the entire bottle of oil it came with which was waaay too much as it began spilling out! But once we got those issues sorted (my husband just manually adjusted the choke to get it started and then after that it did it on it's own every time) this thing was so easy to start since it has a push button start (in addition to the pull start) and it even has a remote! It is super quiet and it has a telescoping handle and large wheels so I can easily move it around! Why everything in life isn't made to be this easy beats me.

Extremely Discriptive

The Gen4500DF was exactly what I was looking for. Duel fuel options was very important to me so I would have the ability to find fuel that would be available during any emergency. The control panel is conveniently located in the front. With the weight being around 100 lbs it is easily portable on its attached wheels and handles. Remote start was a pleasant surprise. I sincerely hope I will never have to use it but the actual operation is quite simple. I am very pleased with my purchase and I do have a reputation for being very critical with how I spend my money.

Super Quiet and Powerful

This generator is really quiet and very easy to operate. I ordered the dual fuel model so that I can either run it on regular unleaded gas or propane. I will run our microwave and A/C in our trailer at the same time. It is fairly light at around 100 lbs which makes it easy to load and unload out of the back of the truck. Looking forward to many years of use.

Complete Package

I did a ton of research before narrowing down my generator list to two. This one stood out as more powerful, quieter and loaded with more features, for a BETTER price! I did have to do some digging to find them in stock but it was well worth the effort to find. I have completed the 5 hours run-in and I am looking forward to many years of service.
