So far it's usless to me.

It came with the battery loose. There is no place to connect the battery strap. More significantly, the side cover will not come off. At least one of the screws cannot be loosened. It's as if it is glued in place. As such i can't put oil in it. I have filed a complaint and am now case #SC289633-other. Someone is supposed to contact me next week.

So far, so good

Bought the generator for backup power at my apartment, but also for camping use since it's nice and quiet and has enough power to run the essentials in the apartment. Got it set up and fully charged the battery. It started right up. Tested it but only with some light loads. Everything worked fine. Let it sit for a few days and started it again. Did not have any problems with the choke as some others have mentioned. It runs fairly smooth and very quiet, though again I didn't put a heavy load on it. It's small enough to fit into my outdoor closet and the pop out handle and wheels really helps in moving it around. It's heavier than I thought and would require 2 people to lift into a truck or hatchback. The controls and outlets are compact and succinct. And it's convenient to have a battery trickle charger built into the control panel. So far it seems to meet my needs and expectations. The caveat is that I won't have much opportunity to get much use of it for awhile. Time will tell. So far so good.

Very quiet! Great features

Bought this back in October, 2021 to avoid another potential ice storm in Central Texas like in 2020. I have used the more conventional generators in the past for various events like for bouncy houses and P/A systems. Finding where to put those generators was always difficult as they were so loud. When I fired up the iGen4500 for the first time to do the initial 'burn-in', I thought maybe something was wrong how quiet it was and it wasn't even in eco mode. I read up on the benefits of an inverter generator but hadn't used one yet so I was happily surprised I wouldn't be keeping the neighbors up if we needed to run it later in the evening. I haven't had to use it with large equipment needing more power yet, the first will be in the spring (unless we hit another ice storm first). I chose the dual-fuel model as I prefer propane over regular gasoline. Easier to store and doesn't need any additives like stabilizer. Having it's own start-up battery was the final pro that convinced me. Reading that the battery will charge while the generator is on is an added bonus. I have a gas-powered pressure washer and I'm constantly having to remember to charge it before use or having to deal with the pull string. Inverter generators are known to be lighter in weight. It's still a combustible engine , with a built-in battery, so it still has some girth to it. I recommend two people to lift it up. The extendable handle works great and it's easy to move around. As I mentioned, I haven't had it very long with minimal use but extremely happy with the purchase!

Exactly as Described and Expected!

Ready to go pretty much out of package. Only issue is there is an oil door and the instructions say to take off engine cover to get to oil. Directions need to be fixed on the quick start fuse as well as owners manual. Otherwise we are looking forward to a quality inverter for our RV.

iGen5000DFc Dual Fuel Generator Review

I purchased this generator 2 weeks ago and already put a lot of hours on it using gasoline and propane. I had a little challenge with changing the oil after the 5 hour break in, my hands were a little big to fit in the opening. This unit is built like a tank and runs pretty quiet. I love the multiple ways to start it, push button, remote and pull cord and how long it runs on gasoline or propane. This 30 amp unit powers my camper with ease.

Simple setup - great operation

Have only fired this up and tested it. I am impressed with how simple it was to un box and hook up. The ease of starting with both pull start and electric start is awesome. I tested with a recip. saw, and it worked amazing. Cut through a 1/2" bar as a test and the generator never changed rpm. It is a little heavy but with the wheels that is not a problem. Tested it on propane, the only complaint is the fitting came out of the generator when I disconnected. There should be some sort of retention method used to keep the fitting from coming out with the hose. Other than this, zero complaints.

State of the art/great features

This generator has it all and is loaded with features that make it top notch! From the rear wheels, the extendable handle that makes moving it easy to the dual fuel feature, remote start, push button start, and ease of operation. This unit is hard to beat!!!

Started up easily

I have no experience re durability, but the startup was quick and painless and the machine is surprisingly quiet. Clear startup instructions. Wheel placement allows a tall guy like me to pull the handle without have to bend way over...thanks for thinking of us tall guys. I'll happily put up with the reduced KW output in order to use propane and never have to mess with old gas and clogged carburetors again. Grateful for the dual fuel option in a relatively low cost machine.

Nice and Quiet with plenty of Power

I have a total of 5 hours on this model and am very happy with it thus far. I really like being able to use LP as the fuel source and it is quieter than I had anticipated. We will use it for RV'ing and it handles the RV's AC with no problem with plenty of power to spare. Only draw back is the space given for oil changes is quite small.

Love the Dual Fuel and Remote Start

I've only owned this generator for 2 months, so far so good. I really like the dual fuel feature. Makes it a great addition to the travel trailer, not having to carry gas cans. The remote start is also a very nice feature. Looking forward to see how it holds up down the road.
