I bought the Westinghouse iGen4500DF for camping and portable power when needed. The box bottom had broken open on delivery but the generator was undamaged. The instructions are easy to understand and the controls are easy to use. The fit and finish is high quality, although I did have two minor issues. The tabs that hold the rubber splash guard around the fuel filler cap were not clicked into place (easy fix as I just pushed them in). Also, the propane hose connector is slightly off center, making it a little difficult to connect the propane hose because the hose fitting binds against the grommet. This is very minor and in no way detracts from the value or usefulness of the generator. After connecting the battery, filling with oil and connecting the propane; the generator started right up! Idle was rough for a little while but then smoothed out. We've only ran the generator for a couple hours but it looks like a winner! It is quiet and everything works great. I especially like the remote start. The generator had no trouble running a small air compressor, router and miter saw at the same time. I've not ran it on gasoline yet but I don't see why it wouldn't run just as well as it does on propane. I am very satisfied with the iGen4500DF and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, full featured generator in its size range.

This thing as all of the features you could ask for. After looking around to buy a nice generator for our fifth wheel I kept considering Honda but there they are almost double the price. This thing looks to be very quality and also has a 30 amp RV plug. the only thing I can even begin to complain about is that when I filled it up with gas for the first time the drain for the carburetor bowl was open so it would leave gas on the floor but it was easily fixed. The remote start worked awesome it popped right off. I would recommend getting a magnetic oil cap to grab any shavings that come out of the engine also I would change the oil a couple times in the first couple hours. So far I'm super happy with it. Honda may be a few decibels quieter but there's no way to justifies double the price.

I bought this generator because we were out of power for 4 days in 2020 in freezing weather and I never want to do that again. The instructions and set up for this machine were super easy to understand and very user friendly even for someone who has never used a generator before. The design is amazing and very user friendly as well. I love that it is dual fuel and can use gasoline or propane. It will easily power the start up for my gas furnace and other necessary electronics in my house if we are ever without power for several days again. The price is very reasonable and well worth the peace of mind this machine provides.

I bought the iGen4500DF last year, when PG&E started the power shut off stuff! It's the right size to run most of the essentials in my house. (no large appliances) Meaning, the frig, the freezer, Phone, TV, internet, the microwave, coffee pot, electric tea pot, and the wife's hair dryer. I found it to be just small enough to lift into the door of the trailer but you should probably use a ramp, its not that light. My bathroom scale says 114lbs. Its powerful enough to run the roof A/C with propane. With the RV extension core I bought separately, I can wake up in the morning, press the remote from inside the trailer, 50 ft away and have a Real cup of coffee! The generator has a service cover for the air filter and the oil. On the oil side, there is an actual drain plug over a rubber plugged hole in the bottom of the cover, to be able to change the oil without making a mess! Nicely thought out. The wheels and the stowaway handle make it easier to move and use without having something to trip over. I like that it shows the hours of run time, so I know to change the oil or clean the air filter. It has two USB charging ports that work well and 12v port that I haven't needed yet to charge a device or use with the supplied plug in 110v charger, to keep the generator's starting battery charged. I have only owned it for a year and used it on two camping trips and four power shut offs, but it's fairly quiet and starts every time.

I bought this generator to use in my rv for boondocking. It is super quiet and does not interrupt our outside time or our sleep while providing plenty of power to run our 15k a/c unit. I also love the fact that I dont have to carry gasoline since I use the same propane tanks that are on my rig.

Just purchased this generator. Out of the box I am quite impressed. Fired right off on propane. The remote starter works extremely well, tried it 40 feet away and behind obstacles, EXCELLENT. Bought it to use while remote camping at the lake. I'm hoping the unit will allow us some creature comforts of home, including A/C on those unbearably hot days (nights). We have started this up and we are prepared to use it. It's very quiet and the remote start is amazing. As a Texan, who lived through not having power in 2021 winter, we are happy to know we will be able to heat our home and stay connected to news, when this happens again here in Texas. The wheels make this easy to move for us, as older adults, it's a great size for storage.

Researched many inverter generators. For this class of generators it has every feature you would need. Runs very quiet. Dual fuel feature is so convenient. Remote start great convenience. Generators are relatively heavy. Wheels and handle make this so easy to move around. You can not go wrong with this generator.

About a month ago I bought this generator and last week we lost power. Ended up running it 22hrs straight for lights my refrigerator and deep freezer as well as 2 fans. Also had my neighbor plug in for 10hrs with my stuff he had a refrigerator and a fan with a few lights gen ran at 25% every once in a while hit 50% . Never cut out and kepted running. Couldn't be happier

I bought this less than a month ago, and glad I did. It has all the features that I was looking for. I am primarily going to use it for backup power to the house. It has plenty of power, duel fuel, clean inverter power and as quiet as my 2000 generator. No delivery issues, everything was there and started right up. Also my neighbor was so impressed that he just bought one.
