Set up was easy. Don't forget to oil air filter. Only issue I had with initial setup was adding nearly all of the supplied oil overfilled the oil pan and leaked out, and because of that, overflowed a bit while running. My next biggest issue of the day was taking off the side access panel. It's easy enough with some initial force, but it would have been nice if it was toolless (which is the reason for 4, not 5, stars). I ran it for 5 hours with variable loads. It ran my smoker and provided a meal for the evening. It was nice and quiet, too. Overall, for the one day, it was a worthwhile investment. I'll be updating my review if anything changes.

Out of the box brand new, the user manual says to empty the entire bottle of oil (provided) into the engine (pg 15, 3). Given the location of the oil spout, it is impossible to monitor the fill level. About 3/4 cup oil over-filled and spilled into the floor of the casing, and subsequently onto the garage floor. There is no easy way to clean up inside the casing. Twelve hours later, and lots of paper towels, oil is still dripping into the garage floor.

Replacing the onboard generator in our older Class C RV. Propane tank on camper is a fuel we want to utilize when we can. Having power always available is a medical necessity for my wife and I. We hope to be enjoying our RV for a long time because of this generator. Thanks

IGEN4500dfc Unbelievable amount of power for its size and has a very low noise level. Tested at 3200 running watts and it has no problem keeping up. Had 2 deep freezer and 1 large fridge and it ran perfect. Does not seem to have any problem running motors. Have owned a short time now and started once a month and ran a few hours. Tested with gas and propane. I only use propane for all the above. The running watts display is very accurate. The frequency is rock solid 60hz. Extreamly efficient on propane. No problems with shipping or damage. Used tech support online and and they will help you if you need them. If you use the 30amp receptical on the left side, it will handle heavy loads with not even a struggle. Very impressed and will get another in future.

Compact, quiet, well-designed. 2 grab bars allow for lifting by two people. Wheels make it easy to move around. Tested using propane, works great. USB "A" ports allow for charging electronic devices directly from the generator. Sine wave output. Starts from battery or using pull rope. Eco mode runs only as hard as needed for the load - it doesn't run full out all the time which means quieter than many others. About 110 lbs with no gasoline.

Bought this iGen5000DFc less than 2 weeks ago and I love it. bought it for my 22' travel trailer and just broke it in and tested t on my rv. has sufficient power to run what ever I need with the A/C going which is important for boondocking during the summer months. Control panel seems well thought out and the unit is quiet, my wife even noticed its quietness when she came out of the house. Also bought the iGen tent for it, did not have a manual with it and looked a little challenging to assemble. Printed out the manual from there website and was not to difficult once I got the hang of it.

THIS UNIT IS WORKING GREAT. TESTING AND MAKING SURE I AM NOT EXCEEDING THE 50% POWER BREAK IN LIMIT. SO FAR THIS IS WORKING AS EXPECTED AND IS THE PERFECT SIZE FOR MY NEEDS. I RECEIVED THE PRODUCT AND THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE UNIT. I HOOKED IT TO PROPANE AND IT STARTED IN FOUR PULLS, WHICH WAS IMPRESSIVE. SO FAR ALL FUNCTIONS WORK.

Just got it. Prompt delivery. Everything included as advertised. Put in oil, hooked up battery, attached to propane tank and started right up with both the push button and electric start. I like the handle and wheels so I can move it more easily. I also like the duel fuel capability and hour meter.

No damage to the Generator from shipping and it came with all pieces and necessary oil (you must add oil and hook up battery before starting). Instructions included were clear. Took about 4 pulls to start after adding gas. After running for a bit i shut off and used the electric start without issue. The generator is smaller than i expected and quiet for the wattage in my opinion. Not done with breaking in but no issues so far. Had it running a big 20in fan, a high powered work light, an air compressor for tools constantly running and a garage refridgerator constantly running (had door open) in 90deg heat, and the gen was showing 50-75% on the power meter. Will try running it on propane at some point but so far, It's just what I wanted and I am happy with the purchase.

This was a awesome gift that fills the need of the many power outages that we've experienced recently. So many features and ease of use. Remote start and fast starting is very impressive. The pure sine wave, clean 4500 watts of power gets the job done keeping our important appliances running in an emergency. This Powerhouse WORKS! Super quiet is a huge plus along with the eco running. Hats off to Westinghouse for building a strong dependable unit!
