Very dependable, very quiet

Worked great during recent power outage. This 5000w inverter unit worked very efficiently, and was enough to power my portable ac unit and 3 refrigerators. Much more quiet than my neighbors standard generators. Easy to set up. May get another one and pair them together.

Runs Great, with Power, BUT BREAKS!!

I purchased this generator in February 2022, but did not get to test until late July. The generator started immediately with the electric starter and continued to start during initial testing. Worked on gasoline and on propane. I am pleased with the electric start as well as gasoline and properation operation. The only negative comment is that the generator is louder than my 20 year old inverter generator. ON THE SECOND (2nd) MANUAL START, SOMETHING BROKE ON THE MANUAL STARTER AND THE ROPE WOULD NOT RETRACE. THE GENERATOR IS DOWN WITH 3 FEET OF ROPE HANGING.

Seems like a good inverter. Tweak some details.

This seems like a good inverter. Starts easily, runs quietly, good indicators, etc. There are a couple of manufacturing details that could use some attention. First, plastic openings (oil, battery) have sharp edges that will scratch up your hands when you’re maneuvering in them. Second, instructions CLEARLY say to pour entire oil bottle in. Given how difficult it is to get to the oil plug/dipstick, I decided I’d go with those instructions. Definite overfill if you follow that guidance. Start with about 3/4 of the bottle. Third, the propane inlet is a brass fitting that requires a tight seal. The plastic housing cover was not squarely installed and part of it is over the edge of the inlet, making it a bit precarious to ensure the right seal.

Love the versitility

Duel Fuel exchange is nice. Very quiet. Had issues starting, but it was recalled and the replacement unit has been fine. I presume this is due to the issue, and the service was good so I didn't knock it. I do need more time to evaluate robustness of the product, but so far everything is nice. It would be nice to have an oil drain plug instead of having to dump it out the fill point (i needed to for recall).

Love Features Generator - Remote Start Dual Fuel

Before this inverter/generator, I had a Dual Fuel generator from a different manufacturer. But, I sold it and bought this one because it also has remote start, which the other manufacturer did not offer with a dual fuel option model. Changing out the jets seems more difficult than it should be and the video provided seems to suggest more teardown steps than is actually necessary, in my opinion. The battery was not strapped down when received. Other than that it fired right up and seems to be working great. I highly recommend - at least so far.

Love the features and dual fuel option

I recently bought this generator. Although it's larger than I expected, setup was easy, and the remote start/stop along with its other features are great. It's also quiet and not as load as other generators this size. And the duel fuel option is a bonus since propane is cleaner and easier to deal with.

Great Features

Bought this generator on Sam’s Club. Delivered within a week. The setup was pretty straightforward once you read the instructions. I tried the propane gas and the generator fired right up using the electric starter. I haven’t had to use the generator yet, but I’m glad to have the peace of mind during this hurricane season.

Quiet 5000 W

Pro: Easy to set up. Started right up on propane. Very quiet in normal mode and even quieter in eco mode. Con: Owner's manual needs significant updates, including very basic info for initial setup. Though easy, as stated as a positive, the manual is actually misleading for the setup. It's as if Westinghouse didn't even proof the manual. The battery was loose and had bounced around in the compartment; fortunately it did not break anything.

A great value with comprehensive features

Review of Westinghouse 3,700/4,500-Watt Dual-Fuel Inverter Generator (CARB Compliant) Given the number of generator/inverters options in the marketplace, what factors were important in my selecting the Westinghouse 3,700/4,500-Watt Dual-Fuel Inverter Generator? Obviously, capacity had to be in the sweet spot for my intended use. 3700 running watts, 4500 starting watts will handle the critical appliances for the event I have a power failure at my home. And with the apparent increasing risk of power grid failure, this may be a small investment for a measure of security. I wanted and got a control panel that is quite inclusive, not just a place for a wide range of receptacles. I wanted a LED data screen showing the essential factors: fuel level, remaining run time and power output. It may seem minor, but very few generator options have a remote start key fob. That was a deal breaker for a guy who makes full use of the tv remote. It’s just a great convenience to add to the electric start on the generator. I doubt I will use the propane option but if gas stations are closed in an electrical failure it is nice to know I can remove the LP tank from my bbq to power on. Another important consideration is the eco mode which automatically adjusts engine RPM/fuel consumption to what is necessary to provide no more than the load requires. I wanted and got safeguards like a low oil indicator and an overload protector. But as I read through the User’s Manual, more and more features were revealed. The User Manual itself is worthy of accolades. I rarely receive a user’s manual so well written, clear, comprehensive. Additionally, perhaps for the less patient, Westinghouse provides a one page Quick Start Guide. But reading the whole Manual is a worthwhile experience. What other small engine company includes a drain hose on its float bowl to completely remove gasoline? Not only does the generator charge the battery while the engine is running, should you have a more sustained period of non use, Westinghouse provides a small plug-in battery charging cable. Not intended as a trickle charger, rather the company suggests plugging it in over night, sufficient to charge the battery without overcharging it. Westinghouse provides a small bag of essential tools like a spark plug wrench. They include a funnel for adding oil. The gasoline tank includes a filter. It just goes on. As time passes, I think I’m going to be very glad I purchased the Westinghouse Inverter Generator.

Fuel leaked as I poured it.

My neighbor has this same generator and it worked great! The last time our power was off he threw an extension cord over the fence so we could share. Powered both of our fridges, cell phone chargers, and lamps. I ordered the exact same model. Just opened the box tonight. After reading all instructions, I added the provided oil, then started adding gas. I was 3 or 4 gallons in when I realized it was leaking gas, spreading across my garage floor. Thankfully standing it up on end stopped the leak. I called customer service and am awaiting a call back from a tech. Set at 3 stars for now -- 5 from previous experience, and 1 from my initial experience tonight. We'll see what happens and if I have cause to upgrade this to a 5 star review or downgrade to a one star. I'm hoping it goes to 5 stars!
