Just received the generator yesterday and today added oil, connected battery and added a small amount of fuel. I pulled the engine through about ten times with the recoil start with the unit switched OFF to make sure some oil was distributed. Then I switched it on, pushed the start button and it IMMEDIATELY cranked up and very quickly settled into a smooth idle. Apparently no auto choke connection issues as some reviews have noted. I let the unit run no load for about 90 minutes as a "break in" until out of fuel even though not indicated in the manual. I then removed the engine access panel to drain any remaining fuel from the float bowl. The float bowl drain screw is very small and in a very difficult position. You need a long shaft screwdriver with a small flat tip to undo the screw and tighten it and the screw seems made of rather soft metal. It's a real pain to get to and I doubt it will last. That's a problem for me as I usually drain a float bowl after every use if I'm going to leave an engine unused for any length of time. I use Sta-Bil in all gasoline for small engines but it's still possible for fuel to go bad if something sits a long time. I will have to run this unit more often, at least monthly even though I only need it for hurricane season. Also the access panels for the oil fill and the battery are just too small: period. I have small hand for my size but very long fingers and it was still difficult to perform then necessary tasks to set up the generator for first use. Westinghouse: make those opening an in larger in each dimension.

Our iGen5000DF. it is dual fuel the propane side to run it is wonderful. Has push button and remote start. Very powerful runs our RV and quite 2020 Cougar with no issues and peer to spare. Highly recommend this inverter generator light weight and quite.

I just purchased this generator and am pleased with what I have seen so far. Initial set up was very easy and my test run passed with flying colors. Didn’t give it 5 stars since I haven’t used it to it’s full capacity. Will leave another review when I do.

I bought this for a weekend camping trip and couldn't be happier. Runs very quiet, so it wasn't difficult to have a conversation with the generator running. Remote start was wonderful being able to turn on the generator in the morning without having to go outside. Would definitely recommend.

I purchased my Westinghouse Igen4500DF due to the regular power outages we experienced in our neighborhood. I took a few weeks to reviews a ton of reviews and always found this model to be in the top rated. Its quiet and easy to use. One of my favorite features is the stowaway handle for ease of moving. Thank you Westinghouse for making a great product!

I used this generator during this past winter storm in Texas and it worked great. Having the dual fuel option to use propane is a game changer if you don't want the gasoline smell in your garage. I did take off the panels to ensure the internal motor cable for the auto-choke was connected, so no issues for me like other users have experienced with that.

I purchased this specifically with the duel fuel so I’d have better options in the event of an emergency. Propane can keep a lot longer than regular gas so it’s a great solution to only needing this for emergencies. The setup was very user friendly and it fired up on the first try with no issues.

The generator works and is efficient but the remote start use useless. If the unit isn't running, after about 7 hours the starting battery drains and remote start won't work. If you shut down the circuit by hand on the generator, the battery holds charge but you have to then go to the generator and turn the switch back on manually before the remote start works. Since we purchased this genny for the remote start feature it is big thumbs down on this issue. We even replaced the battery thinking it was defective but had the same issue with the new battery. I also think that the sound level at idle is much higher than 52dbs. Our comparable size Honda is much quieter. Good - Fuel efficient and compact Bad - Remote is non functional if unit has not run for more that 7 hours

I bought the iGen4500DF for two main applications. 1) To power our off grid barn and 2) to power our RV when we are boon docking. It works perfect in both applications. Very quiet in eco mode, the dual fuel lets me run off the propane already carried for our RV, and the remote control start lets me power on the lights before I get in the barn.

Came quicker than expected. Instructions could have been a little more clear about connecting the battery. the oil that came with it over filled the unit... but other than that simple to get going. so far it works grate and starts on the first try every time. I plugged in a grinder and it doesn't even bump up the idle when running, I'm pleased. I had a Champion 3100 before .. This is much quieter, I'm very pleased with my purchase.. my only complaint is there is no 12 volt plug or way to direct charge a battery. If it had it I would give it 5 Stars
