Can't wait to try it out on my next RV trip! Used it to power my leaf blower (ran propane) for an entire afternoon just to try it out and it worked great. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was even under a load. Set up was easy and everything worked perfectly.

Handles on top of frame work great for team lifting. It is not very loud. All controllers are easy to use. It also comes with a battery tender. Handle and wheels are nice for moving unit. Only draw back is I wanted to run this off my travel trailers propane tanks. I cant hook it into my existing system do to the design of the hook up on the generator hose. It requires a separate tank. If that is not important to you then it is a 5 star unit. Out of all the dual fuel units out there I would still buy this one over the others i looked at,

Bought the iGen 4500DF 18 days ago . Was really impressed with the quick shipping, ordered Wednesday night and received Saturday morning same week. The unit was easy to prep for operation started up on first try and ran smoothly very quiet for a generator of this size . The remote start feature has me a little confused since the manual states not to start or shut the generator down with anything plugged to it . Other than that Every thing worked as advertised right out of the box can't wait to take camping.

we bought this item because we live in an area that seems to have a lot of power outages. we live in an apartment complex so compact is very important to us. This not only fits well in our space it also has an option to use propane , which is very handy.

I ordered this Aug 25 2021 from Lowe’s, it came in yesterday Aug 30th. Picked it it up at the store and headed home. I was apprehensive about it because of some of the reviews that were scathing, there always seems to be those regardless of the brand. I was comparing the Champion inverter models with the Westinghouse inverter models. Many many people had problems starting the Champions on propane so I wasn’t having warm fuzzies over that. I didn’t see that with the Westinghouse reviews and that was a plus but still stuck in my mind. I wanted a duel fuel inverter model which made it a bit more difficult to find and 240vac split phase even harder. The 240v are very limited in manufactures and were cost prohibitive for me. I wanted the 240v to run the well pump, but I decided I would replace the carburetor on my old 1998 Generac 5500xl and use it solely to run the pump when needed. I unboxed it, read the literature and put the oil in it. .6qt of oil came with it and a nozzle that screws into the oil fill hole making it convenient to get the oil into the engine since it is enclosed. Generator was on a flat almost level surface but when I unscrewed the nozzle the oil overflowed. Don’t know if there was a bit more oil in the bottle or the engine just doesn’t take .6qt of oil. I couldn’t find anyplace the listed the amount it requires just that it overflows when filled up. I put it up for the night a storm was starting. Next day I took out again and connected the battery connections inside the battery compartment. No need to take the battery out to connect it, easy with the connectors already installed. I put a little gas in the tank and hooked up the propane also. I thought I might have to start it on gasoline and switch to propane. Thaw Champion reviews stuck in my mind but the Westinghouse can be started on gasoline and switched to propane while running...a big plus. I turned the battery switch on in the front and figured I would try starting on propane first. Selector switch on propane, turned gas on at tank, pushed the start button and it cranked over a for 1-2 seconds and vroom! Started right up! No problem! Went to plug in some battery chargers for hand tools and that was hard at first. The 120v outlets are really tight not loose and sloppy. They loosened up after using a few times. Quality parts (?) I want to think so. Overall I am very pleased with this machine and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends. The 3% THD is better than many, it’s a modified sine wave and not a pure sine wave like you would get out of a nice battery backup solar type generator. I would buy this unit again. I was hesitant to purchase a lesser name in generators, but through the testing and performance, its hands down the best generator investment I have made. Dual Fuel, Remote Start, Inverter, Quieter than Hondas, RV ready. I could not ask for a better investment for an energy backup.

I just bought this generator. I have not used it yet, but it appears to be very solidly constructed. It is every bit of 105 pounds. I like the fact that it can run on propane so I don't have to worry about the fuel going bad. The manual says the first oil change should be after 25 hours, but many people on-line suggest much sooner. Also, it says not to exceed 50% load for first 5 hours of operation. That seems like a long time to break in. I am looking forwarding to testing and having this unit ready for the next power outage. Packaging was damaged, but unit appears to be no worse for wear. Fortunately many on-line have advised to fill the oil reservoir carefully and test frequently to avoid over filling. Will be buying a gen tent to operate on back deck.

We purchased this unit for both limited home and RV use. It exceeded my expectations! Being able to run both gasoline and propane makes this unit so versatile. It is so easy to set up and run that it can be ready to supply power in less than 30 minutes. Everything works perfectly. Can wait to put it in to use while RV-ing! I haven't powered much with it yet, but is ridiculously easy to start and operate. I would have given five stars, but the included manual appears to be for a different revision of the generator, because the picture of the control panel does not match the actual control panel. The latest manual available on-line appears to match the actual control panel, but some of the described decals are different from the ones on my generator.

The electric start with the automatic choke has been excellent. I'm an old man (84 years old) and being able to just press a button to start the generator has been wonderful. It works every time. The long pull out handle makes moving the generator very easy. It is a well made unit.
