Quiet, nice features

Purchased this unit just a few weeks ago, but so far am quite happy with the product and its performance. Started right up from propane tank on second start cycle. I have not had any power outages where I had to use the generator, but I have test run several appliances and power tools to see how it performs. So far everything as expected. I appreciate the layout of the gauges and ports in front. The power percent usage gauge is a nice bonus and seemed to match with the wattage from the equipment and appliances that I was testing. I could see when it comes time to drain the oil it could be a bit messy, but am working on a way to mitigate that. So far overall very satisfied. Would give it a 4.5 star rating.

Seems good so far

Chose to have delivered to homedepot instead of house, feel like less chance of damage from rushing delivery people. Ran on both gas and propane. No issues with the engine or the power output. Gauges seem to be off though. Was indicating empty tank and zero time left to run but still ran over an hour before I finally shut it down manually. Remote seems to have stopped working but they do include remote reset instructions. Changing oil is challenging if you have big hands. Also a bit messy, take lots of precautions like extra rags and cover everything plus make a homemade funnel to insert under drain hole to help contain oil flow. If you've changed the oil on this model then you know exactly what I'm talking about. Overall satisfied with purchase and hope I never need to use for main intended purpose, blackout.

Quiet and powerful

I was in the market for a generator to power my travel trailer A/C and this couldn't be more perfect. Not only will it easily power my A/C, but it allows me to not have to worry about using other AC appliances while it's running. It's also very quiet and I know I won't be bothering anyone that I'm camping near.

perfect BUT

I was elated to find ALL the features I needed and made in the USA by an American company! But, I purchased 2 of these, a month apart and BOTH had shameful defects in assembly. Things like : The battery was just stuffed in it's compartment with loose terminal connections and strap not hooked. and the battery compartment cover was just lying in the bottom of the box. Not sure if the battery bouncing around pushed the cover off or, whoever put the battery in, just threw the cover on the box. The other had loose bolts rolling around in the shipping box. I figured out where they all went except one square nut with a threaded hole in it. I have no idea where it goes or to whom I can send a photo of it so I can get instructions on how to proceed or if I should not bother and just return it! My purchase was inspired by my appreciation of Westinghouse designers that came up with the A4W Nuclear reactors for Aircraft carriers and so many other outstanding success stories. I need 2 covers for my 2 Igen 4500df generators plus a text from someone that can help me with this extra nut... it looks special & important.

My major concern answered

As a 70 yr old woman living alone, my burning question was would the wheels allow me to move it on my own. FedEx delivered a day early & left it at the end of my long dirt driveway (since I didn’t expect it my gate was shut). I was able to unbox & wheel to cement carport where it will be used & I don’t believe moving will be a problem. I’ve had it less than a week but found it easy to set up & start using the remot start with gas.

Everything I wanted in an Inverter Generator

I'm really happy with everything about this generator. For the power it's not really that heavy...and easy to move around with the built in handles, one for rolling, two for carrying. Attention to detail was taken with added bonuses like the battery charger, tools and everything you need to get it running. Has the right connection for my 30A RV plug. Dust covers are a nice touch too! Love the remote start and status display. I like the fact it was manufactured in Vietnam.

Great remote start and get for a camper

We bought this generator because our camper didn't have an on board generator. It was a hassle having to wake up at hunting camp, go outside when its 20 degrees and start the old generator. Now we can remote start it from inside the comforter to keep the heater going. The fact that it has dual fuel is amazing. We go on 10+ camping trips a year. We sometimes forget to fuel up the generator, fill up a gas tank, or sometimes forget to fill up the propane tanks. Having the option to use either fuel in a huge bonus for us.

Dual Fuel and Remote Start

I am really happy with this product. This Westinghouse generator has all the features I searched for, 30 amp RV plug, maxim of 3000 watts continuous to run my 12500 BTU AC, dual fuel and a remote start. I can boondock comfortably now. Thanks for such a great product and the price is right.

Best of all worlds

A lot of power for the size and features. I looked around for months and for the features, dual fuel and power there is nothing out there that compares. It is not as heavy as I thought it was going to be. Comes with everything you need except for the fuel (of course). All the displays and connections in same side makes it easier to operate.

High expectations for this inverter

I finally purchased this inverter after using another brand for the last few years. The last use of those paralleled inverters was a disaster. Frequent issues in 0 degree weather while hunting was frustrating to say the least This was the first use after their "factory" deemed them in tip top condition as I couldn't get them to sync with the parallel cable and had frequent overload issues with nothing hooked to them. I've been waiting for the past year to get my hands on this inverter for our 5th wheel and am very excited to use it. It seemed to be out of stock everywhere I looked over this past year. Finally, I got my hands on it! Three things stick out thus far. First, with all the nice features on this set up I'd love to see an hour meter in order to track maintenance. I'll add one as we put about 250-350 hours on a year between boondocking and my week of hunting. Secondly, I'd like to see some sort of break in procedure in the user manual. I've not seen any and don't see anything specific to this set. Maybe there is none, but I would think there would be a note about that too. Maybe I missed it. I track my maintenance to extend the life of things as long as possible so being able to break this in correctly is important. Third, it is very quiet and I am very happy about that. So far I've added the oil, and run it to confirm there were no shipping issues. And will test it out on the 5th wheel as soon as it's back from service.
