Because it wasn't available to see at the store, I ordered this chair "on faith," trusting the name for quality. I am a woman in my mid-70s, and, following the clear instructions, was able to fully assemble it on my own. I've used it quite a lot for about a month now, and am completely satisfied with the purchase. The chair is sturdy and comfortable. And good looking, too. My gauge for rating a purchase is to ask whether, "knowing now what I didn't know then," would I buy it again. The answer in this case is a resounding, "Yes, with no hesitation."

I ordered a beige chair from Sam's.com. The chair was delivered in excellent shape. On the outside of the box, it lists two colors, gray and beige. I opened the box and the chair was light gray, not even close to a beige color. I decided to keep the chair because light gray was ok with my decor. The chair itself is very plush, comfortable, and easy to assemble.

This review is for the assemble onlyIt took me about an hour to aassemble it wish they had clearer instructions like putting numbers or letters on what is what because I had to desamble it twice because some of the nuts weren't labeled what they were and where they go same with the other parts of the chair overall its good it was able to assemble it by myself.

I had a big and tall La-Z-Boy that I bought from Sam's That I have used for ~12 years. Like all the other pictures the "leather" came off in a number of regions. I even had a front seam rip and all the front cushioning slowly broke away over the years. All the front padding finally fell of a couple months ago. I thought I was buying the same thing again. This chare is substantially smaller and of lower quality. It has an odd lumbar support feature that retracts lumbar support when you lean back. This feature is incredibly uncomfortable. My old one missing several inches at the front is more comfortable. I usually trust products from Sam's part of why I get a membership is that I know they have a limited selection but they have company buyers that get the best product for the best price for customers. That is what they sell. This new version of Sam's La-Z-Boy Big & Tall chair really misses the mark.

Contacted customer service because part was missing. They wouldn't ship the part until documents were uploaded, product was registered, etc. Too much hassle to fix their mistake. The chair was also uncomfortable, it pushes too hard on your lower back.

Over all it’s a really nice chair, but had to call about a replacement part that controls the lumbar. Make sure you use the correct length screws for connecting the arms to the seat and back, and the ones for under the seat. Kudos to customer service for a quick response of sending the replacement.

Do not Recommend. It says rated for 350, but I don't think that's accurate. Falls apart after about a year. Its the BEST chair up until it breaks. I've had two of them. The base where the shock mount cracks - if you have a welder you can keep it alive longer. (remove the gas shock before welding) Where the back folds, and where it clicks in, the plastic wears out where the pin holds and then it falls "back" while sitting in it. So while this chair is my favorite most comfortable chair, it breaks easily. I do not recommend, unless you are ok with a yearly chair bill. If you aren't over 300 lbs, this chair will probably last longer.

Love the chair. Very comfortable and roomy. But, be aware, assembling the arms to the back and seat is not for the weak of spirit. You will be challenged as it is awkward and physically challenging. Two tips: 1 leave all bolts started but very loose until they are ALL in; 2 connect the lumbar flange to the seat base BEFORE booting the base to the seat bottom. All that being said, THE JUICE IS WORTH THE SQUEEZE. I am enjoying the fruit of my labor.

After spending 45 minutes assembling the chair, I am completely disappointed with the lack of comfort! The lumbar support is severely stiff and uncomfortable!!! And it makes a clunky sound when you recline ( should be a different word, because it only reclined a few inches). The entire chair feels small and the depth of the seat feels short, not much room if you could recline. Leaning backwards almost pushes you off the seat. I'm only 5'11" and 185lb. I can't imagine a larger person fitting on it. Really disappointed 😞 If the store had an assembled floor sample, I could have saved a great deal of time. Hope they'll take it back assembled... I am not keeping this!!
