[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, guys, at first it was a birthday gift for my husband, and I decided to order him this Scotch whisky exactly on his birthday morning. And guess what? My gift was delivered just 1.5 hours after I placed the order! So impressive, huh? Second, I know he likes a soft yet deep taste that he can sip and savor all evening, so I believe this is exactly what he wants. From his words: “At the beginning, it has a lot of vanilla on the nose, then it gets a bit citrusy with some fruit aftertaste. It’s not really soft, but you have to choose between smooth and gentle or harsh and heavy.” Anyway, it’s absolutely worth your attention. I believe it was a good unplanned gift.

The flavor is not as great as other similar flavors. We tried mixing it with different drinks to see how it blended and overall it outshines all we tried. It's not as smooth as other whiskeys but will definitely do the job. Value wise, other editions seem smoother than this one. It'll get the job done, however.

It’s not a bad bite on the sip. I would definitely let it breathe a few minutes after opening the bottle and resting in your glass as well. The packaging comes just like the rest of the other bottles and has same look and expected taste. It’s definitely worth the money although it’s not my favorite by Glenlivet, I would definitely recommend it.

Just when you think that there are a number of scotches that are tasting similar, it was recommended to me to give the Glenlivet Founders Reserve a try. Blew the similar types of scotches I had been trying out of the water. Hard to describe the features without sounding like a marketing ad for Glenlivet, or for that matter, everyone else. A balanced, smooth and unique flavor lineup best describes what I encountered while savoring my first snifter. "Hon, you have to try this," is what I said to my wife, who is not a scotch person. At my insistence, she did. That instantly led to her enjoying and sharing a snifter with me. That says it all! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! Thank you.
