Mild flavor but very enjoyable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I've had this campaign for a long time because the coupon code I was sent didn't really work but this past weekend I went to my friends house warming and she had this as one of the liquors for mixed drinks. So I thought I can finally do this review!! I'm more of a whiskey girl than a scotch girl but this one was very smooth and sweet almost. The prominent taste I feel like is more of a citrus but with a hint of maybe apple or pear. I did use it in a cocktail but wanted to taste it by itself as well so I did ask the bartender to give me a SMALL glass on ice and it was very smooth that way as well. I think this would be a perfect scotch for like a casual drink and not very high end but still very good in my opinion.

Nose: Oak, bananas, toffee, nice sweet smell Palate: Thin, vanilla, grassy, Finish: Short, what light oak This Glenlivet Founders Reserve has an amazing nose with a pleasant sweet smell that I enjoyed. The palate wasn't bad and lacked complexity. It was flavor was ok but felt that it was a tad bit boring and underwhelming.
