Great with or without a cigar. The flavor brings out a robust taste of the 1800’s. Have it with something smoked and you got yourself an all nighter.

I got my bottle as a gift from a friend recently and we decided to open it up and taste it right away. No shelf time. Epic taste, great after taste. No hangover. Only complaint: apparently the bottle was leaking or the warm weather vaporrised it, because we downed it pretty quickly.

This was a gift. While far from my favorite single malt label Glenlivet has always been an OK quaff. Unfortunately not this bottle. The reviews that call it smooth I just don't get as it requires at least 50% water to reduce the bite, for me. I do like my single malts with abit of water but judge how good it will be with a taste neat, and rubbing alcohol as stated in another review is as accurate as I could get. It will get a place in the back of my cabinet to make room for more go-to favorites, and possibly find another home altogether. Glad I didn't spend my own hard earned $$ on it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say this a good reserve. It has a lot of flavor! Sweet and smooth a little bit of a citrus taste and apple as well. It’s not a bad bite on the sip. I would definitely let it breathe a few minutes after opening the bottle and resting in your glass as well. The packaging comes just like the rest of the other bottles and has same look and expected taste. It’s definitely worth the money although it’s not my favorite by Glenlivet, I would definitely recommend it.

And guess what? My gift was delivered just 1.5 hours after I placed the order! So impressive, huh? Second, I know he likes a soft yet deep taste that he can sip and savor all evening, so I believe this is exactly what he wants. From his words: “At the beginning, it has a lot of vanilla on the nose, then it gets a bit citrusy with some fruit aftertaste. It’s not really soft, but you have to choose between smooth and gentle or harsh and heavy.” Anyway, it’s absolutely worth your attention. I believe it was a good unplanned gift.
