Bought this to replace my cheap Chinese generator. Came with tools, oil, and screw in funnel. Unit cranked up first time on propane. Love the electronic choke! Was easy to assemble, to include the optional wheel/handle kit. Nice to have a dependable generator come hurricane season.

Researched portable generators for several months. decided it was worth the wait for this size and model. Perfect for <1000 sf home. not loud, compact size, was surprised how well it ran on propane. Ran for 3-4 hours so far no issues. Pleased with purchase. Still new but expect good things.

I actually purchased 2 generators, same kind. I wanted dual fuel for emergency reasons and because propane burns clean with no risk of gumming up the fuel system when not in use. I bought one for our primary residence and one for our camp in Alabama. The way I see it, when you "need" a generator, it is too late. I prefer to plan ahead and be prepared. The electric start with key fob also can turn the unit off. This unit packs a punch with many bells and whistles.

Have not used this generator yet. It arrived very quickly, in just three days. There was quite a bit of oil on the unit and in the box when it arrived so I'll need to check that out. Also, like others have indicated, the cover on the end of the motor was smashed. I will update this review later.

I just purchase this item for emergencies, last time the power went out it did not come back up for over a week.. It was easy to put together and easy to operate. It definitely an item that I recommend for families to have for when the power goes out which happens more and more frequently these past couple of years.

Originally bought a pulsar generator which was garbage and could not run anything in our travel trailer! Returned that pulsar for this Westinghouse Wgen5300df. Soo happy we did! Hooked up the Westinghouse to travel trailer and ran everything in trailer flawlessly without a hiccup! Westinghouse Wgen 5300df has been amazing! Very happy after purchasing in May 2024. Propane fuel a lot safer and cleaner to use and store than gasoline. Perfect size 274cc engine with remote start and the 240volt receptacle delivers power to my transfer panel for all our needs during power outages.

The Westinghouse 5300 Dual Fuel had all the features I was looking for in a generator for a very fair price. It came with wheels and two "feet" which were easily attached with the wrench that accompanied the unit. It is nice to have backup power for my furnace and fridge at a fraction of the cost to install a Generac or Kohler unit.

I’ve been wanting a dual fuel generator for some time now the price was right and I purchased this Westinghouse 5300 DF. I plan to use it strictly with propane because of the convenience of storage and cost. I made this purchase because of electrical failures, especially during hurricanes.
