Just purchased and unboxed. Spent a full day comparing features between Westinghouse models and did not realize this does not include wheels while all others do. It is clear in the pictures however when you spend a couple hours reading about them you focus too much on features and miss out on the obvious. Have not used it yet thankfully.

It really works well for us. I love the remote start that is a must. It is not super quiet but also not obnoxiously loud either. Easily can put up with the noise. I bought two of them so I could run them in parallel to 50 amp service. That did the trick when we needed it in our 5th wheel.

purchased the Westinghouse wgen5300s generator a couple of weeks ago and at first the Gas was not working, but the Propane worked with out a hitch. I opened a ticket up with Westinghouse and they got back to me quickly and tried a few troubleshooting tasks. Did not work and was due to shipping damage. Like I said the propane option works great and powers through when a high load gets placed on it.

I purchased a duel fuel Westinghouse generator 5300KW after many comparisons of other manufacturers. I'm very happy I did. This particular model is very well constructed and serves my purpose as a backup for utility loss.This generator is propane or gas and I currently only use the propane option.It will power most of your household needs with no problem. Buy a Westinghouse, You'll also be happy you did!

Bought this for upcoming hurricane season. Put in the gas and oil, and it started right up with the electric push button. I was amazed at how quiet it was while running. The manual is thorough and easy to understand. If you have further questions, the website has an extensive FAQ section. I also like that it doesn't take up a lot of room to store.

I recently bought this generator due to power outages in the winter. I needed one that would run my water pump, and this one can do that. Living in the country means our roads are the last to be plowed. Therefore, a generator with fuel options works well. The fuel in the propane doesn't go rancid like with Gasoline and can be stored easily. I also love the ease with which I can move this unit around. The folding handle and large wheels keep it off the cold ground, making it easy to move into place when I need to use it.

I just picked this up, looks great and getting ready to start it up soon..the generator was shipped with no damage and has protective bars all around it, the only thing i had to install was the wheels and rubber feet.comes with a can of oil, battery installed and LP gas hose with regulator good to go

We just had a 12-hour power outage thanks to hurricane Zeta and I'd finally had enough of hoping our fridge and chest freezer full of food wouldn't spoil every time we have a major outage so I shopped around and selected this Westinghouse. I especially like the dual fuel so I can get started with my spare propane tanks which never spoil. For long outages, I can go get gas or use the 20 gallons from my truck. It's not as large or heavy as I expected which is great. The fold-out handle makes it much easier to move than I thought it would be. Very easy to set up, filled with oil, connected battery, hooked up to LP tank and it fired right up. Much quieter than I expected as well, though certainly far from silent. I like all the options 120/240V, transfer switch ready, push-button start/stop, remote start/stop. I do NOT look forward to using it during the next power outage, but I do feel much better knowing I have a solid power source for when it does happen.

I just bought the WGen5300DFc unit. This is the second one I bought, the first one was a WGen5300cv and was damaged in shipping and that model came with the feet and wheel assembly. This one didn't. Concidering the size and weight you would think that would be a standard item. The Remote Battery starter was one of the main reason I ordered the unit. I am happy with the product so far but I haven't use it yet. The amount of power provided is more that enough to run the most important items of my house in the event of power outage.

Bought this after a 3-day power outage, using a borrowed generator to run fans, freezer and refrigerators. Researched several brands and found this one to have everything needed at best value - electric start and dual fuel important to me. Very pleased with this purchase!
