I bought this after a storm left us without power for 3 days and we had to replace our food. We figured that if the power went out again, it would cost just as much to purchase a generator as it would to replace our food again. Power went out after hurricane Debbie came through and I didn’t have to replace my food this time, so I’m happy. The day that the power went out, the generator was still in the box because I’m a bit of a procrastinator :) it wasn’t difficult to get the generator up and running out of the box once I found the choke and realized that the choke was already set the way it needed to be. I used the gasoline option. I have never dealt with propane for anything, so gasoline was my go-to option. Perhaps one day I’ll try out the propane option. Right now, I’m realizing that a benefit of using the propane is that once you are finished with using the generator, you can just detach the tank. Right now, I have almost a full tank of gasoline sitting in the machine that I will have to go to the store to get something to keep/store so the gasoline doesn’t go bad in the generator.

I bought this generator last month due to hurricane season vastly approaching. Well we had a tropical storm come through the area and we lost power. Luckily I had this generator and a propane tank we used for our gas grill. I didn’t have any gas because my wife filled the lawn mower so having the dual fuel capability came in handy and saved the night.

I needed a reliable generator for the winter months to cover the power outages and this one fit the bill. Great quality build, reasonably priced, and enough power output to run two fridges, achest freezer, and all the lights I want. It would be have been optimal if it came with a wheel set, as its pretty heavy when fueled up, but I don't plan on moving this thing very often. I highly recommend this generator.

I bought this electric start, dual fuel generator just after hurricane Ian went through Florida and we had a hard time starting our exiting generator which is manual start. Since we are getting up in age (80s), my wife and I decided on an electric start replacement. The dual fuel feature gives us additional flexibility during storm conditions when gasoline supplies can be difficult. The only difficulty we've had was with the remote fob not functioning, that was quickly resolve by way of a Service Bulletin instructing me on how to "pair" the fob to the generator.

I bought this 4 months ago so I would have it in the event of power outage. I finally unboxed it today and got it running and broke in. We are expecting extreme temperatures this week so I want to be prepared unlike February 2021. I am using propane currently and it seems to function just fine. It's extremely easy to operate.

Have been wanting one for years, with doing a lot of research, this one seemed to check all of my boxes. One of the best features is that it can use propane as well gas. I love the feature of the electric start so I can use it to start and stop while in the house. Plan on building a housing for it so it can outside while in the rain and snow if needed.

Remote start has made my life so much better. No longer do I have to wake my wife up to brave the cold and start the generator. Dual fuel is so easy to swap between. Very long run time on a single tank. The included oil funnel is nice as well as the battery charger.

Gave it a test run a few days after delivery and very happy with its performance I was able to powerup the well pump, refrigerator and lighting as well as a television. The dual fuel is great most outage last less then 10 hours and the propane is great I don't have to worry about the gasoline going stale and clogging up the carburetor jets. However when longer outages occur I have the ability to fill the gasoline and run the first 13 hour gasoline before switching over to propane without shutting the generator down. Love It!

I bought this in March and only used it a handful of times and the rest it was stored in a shed completely covered. This past time I went to go use it and it would not start no matter what I did. I changed the oil, I replaced the spark plugs, I cleaned the filter.. I did literally everything the manual said to do and it still will not start. I realized it has a three year limited warranty so I am going talk to the warranty place and hopefully they can get this exchanged or refunded. I'm wanting to get an exchange though over a refund because I planned on using it more frequently and this is very inconvenient, especially after start of winter. this is the second Westinghouse generator I've owned and I never had any issues with the first one.if everything works out,I'll definitely change my rating.

After filling with oil/fuel, started first pull. Ran 30 min unloaded. Changed to lpg, started first pull again. Ran another 30 min unloaded. Connected to house it ran 240v water pump 185 feet deep along with a few lights, ceiling fans inside. Those are the basic services we need when power is out. Also much quieter and easier to pull start the I expected .
