We bought the Westinghouse to prepare for Beryl, best decision ever. Easy to set up, starts right away, we were left without power for days. Had it running none stop without a problem. Had out fridge, fans, charge phones, used the microwave, toaster, griddle etc.

I have owned several generators and had a good idea what I wanted for my girlfriend. It had to be powerful enough to drive a transfer switch yet light enough for a woman to move on her own. Pulling a cord to start isn't a big deal but for some reason women don't like it, so an electric start was important. In addition it had to have a fuel guage. My last generator didn't have one and it was a guess when the fuel would run out, which it always does in an emergency. The last thing to worry about when the power grid goes down. The WGen5300DF fits the bill nicely and is very well priced for the wattage and feature set. The remote is a nice touch though its one frill I find unnecessary.

It is very heavy duty and everything came just like it looked on the website everything is just great, it came fast, and the coolest thing it even came with a remote so very excited that I have it now and who ever need or want a generator I highly recommend this generator it will change your life when a storm happen and the lights out it will power up your house all the way and you will feel the same comfort as if your lights was never off. So if you ever run across this generator get it I promise you won't be disappointed.!!!!

I bought this generator after having done much research. When I received it I really appreciated how well it was packed and the clarity of the step by step set up and start up instructions. The remote start worked flawlessly! Once going through the motor break in when connecting various small power tools and a light to slowly break in the coils it barely showed any sign of load. I have no doubts it will perform as expected when needed. And it is quiet! Totally satisfied customer!

I bought this generator when my other model failed running after few hours. It was delivered one week ahead of ETA. I followed instructions to install wheels, connect battery, put oil and turned it on! It is working flawlessly and provides enough power to run my house now. Fed

Amazingly it was delivered the days from the date it was order. Minor assembly attacking the wheels and front foot rests. Runs both unleaded gas and propane. A steal for the price. Runs great with either fuel source. I've waited years for this deal.

The generator looks nice. One wheel looks too wobbly but hey it works! Seemed easy to setup. The oil drain looks like it's in a grewt spot - going be fun to drain the oil and try not make a mess. Not looking forward to that in the next 25 hours. That's okay cause I got time - I can't get it started. Wanted to manually start it. Pulled the cord twice and it jammed up. The cord is stuck half out. Called the number on the "Stop don't return to the store" paper. See what happens next. Fun times.

Bought this in October and it saved everything in our deep freeze and refrigerator during 4 power failures, plus worked well enough for electronics to handle emergency work from home situations. But a few months in, it mysteriously quit. No spark on the plugs if we attempt to start it by cord. Starter motor want turn. Battery still shows 12 volts at rest. Hard to recommend it under the circumstances, until I get it serviced and find out what happened. Up until then we were very impressed.

Just got it running, after unboxing and realizing I should have found out more about needing wheels, this is a pain to move around.Did one pull on the starting cord, it did not retract! Found the starter cord cover was damaged and pushed in so bad it wouldn’t spin inside. Thankfully I’m pretty handy and did not want to learn about returns and ordering parts, bent things back in shape, all good, runs well. Would be nice if they put info in paperwork about wheel kit, discounted or otherwise.

After filling with oil/fuel, started first pull. Ran 30 min unloaded. Changed to lpg, started first pull again. Ran another 30 min unloaded. Connected to house it ran 240v water pump 185 feet deep along with a few lights, ceiling fans inside. Those are the basic services we need when power is out. Also much quieter and easier to pull start the I expected .
