Great Features

Had all features we were wanting. Gas and propane, #3 and #4 plug-ins. Had problems with the first, was damaged. But they handled the problem, sent another and it started on first pull. Runs quieter then we thought, another plus. We are happy with it. We also bought the extended warranty.

Problem With Generator

We purchased this generator with the hopes of buying more of them for our tower sites. Unfortunately this one came with a defective gasket on the float bowl. Additionally, we called the 1800 number and we were told to be patient and someone would call us back. After being on hold for more than 30 minutes, we decided to go online and complete the process because we mailed the registration card.

Great Product Great Price!

I purchased this generator because of the name, it can run on dual fuel supplies, it’s wattage and the value and reliability it affords me. Most generators in the market are labeled with the peak wattage which is a temporary wattage only and used for starting motors on equipment like refrigerators and freezers but Westinghouse labels it’s generators with actual running wattage and you can rest assure that peak wattage is always greater hen it’s needed. Good job Westinghouse!

Great value

I bought this 4 months ago so I would have it in the event of power outage. I finally unboxed it today and got it running and broke in. We are expecting extreme temperatures this week so I want to be prepared unlike February 2021. I am using propane currently and it seems to function just fine. It's extremely easy to operate.

Good Decision!

I bought this last month and it is not installed yet. But, it arrived very quickly and I have been reading all about it for months and I know I will be satisfied with the performance. Have it out of the box waiting for install and everything looks fine. Even the installer said I have bought the best. Will give another review after it's installed.

Great Generator Price and Ease of Use

Purchased for a fundraising event at a rodeo to power multiple cooking appliances. Work great, We had 5 cooking appliance plugged into it with power to spare. Power was stable with no issues. I would recommend this to anyone looking for portable power. Great Product. Thanks Westinghouse.

Not as noisy and powers what I need

Not a noisy as my gas lawn mower. Let it run for awhile before plugging in loads. I'll just be using it to power my upright freezer and my refrigerator during power outages....for now. Plugged in my freezer and the generator never even changed noises. Unplugged my freezer and plugged in my fridge and it conked out immediately. I let the generator run for awhile longer to break it in more and finally I was able to plug in both my fridge and freezer without any problems. Patience is a virtue with these things, i guess. Still have some breaking in to do then try some more devices (lamps, fans, etc). I am at the moment just using propane which I know does not provide the power that gas does. We'll see later how it does with gas

Works great, easy to use, lots of features

This generator has plenty of bang for your buck. During Hurricane Helene we were struggling on a borrowed generator, but now we can rest assured we are prepared for the next central Ga storm with our new Westinghouse Generator. I like that you can do the traditional running of a drop cord to your house or wire directly into your home with a transfer switch. The dual fuel feature is great, during the aftermath of Helene it was so hard to find gasoline, but super easy to find propane cylinders to swap out. My wife enjoys the east startup with the push start and remote fob, and I enjoy the easy setup and variety of features. Definitely would buy again, hopefully not for another 10 years though.

Great Generator for the price

I purchased this generator for power backup in my home. Ive used the propane fuel option on the generator for powering my portable AC unit during a power outage . It works just fine . Although I thought this generator came with wheels for mobility but I was wrong . I need to purchase a wheel kit. It does the job I needed it for .

Very impressive so far!

I had been comparing dual fuel generators for quite awhile, and the 5300 ticked all the boxes for us: dual fuel, electric start (we're getting older.....), able to hook up to house via transfer switch if we choose, and price in our budget. It arrived in perfect shape, and we had feet and wheels attached in no time. We're excited to test it out in a "pretend power outage" in the near future.
