Purchased for a fundraising event at a rodeo to power multiple cooking appliances. Work great, We had 5 cooking appliance plugged into it with power to spare. Power was stable with no issues. I would recommend this to anyone looking for portable power. Great Product. Thanks Westinghouse.

I’ve been wanting a dual fuel generator for some time now the price was right and I purchased this Westinghouse 5300 DF. I plan to use it strictly with propane because of the convenience of storage and cost. I made this purchase because of electrical failures, especially during hurricanes.

Not a noisy as my gas lawn mower. Let it run for awhile before plugging in loads. I'll just be using it to power my upright freezer and my refrigerator during power outages....for now. Plugged in my freezer and the generator never even changed noises. Unplugged my freezer and plugged in my fridge and it conked out immediately. I let the generator run for awhile longer to break it in more and finally I was able to plug in both my fridge and freezer without any problems. Patience is a virtue with these things, i guess. Still have some breaking in to do then try some more devices (lamps, fans, etc). I am at the moment just using propane which I know does not provide the power that gas does. We'll see later how it does with gas

I picked up one of these to keep the freezer and fridge running during the rare power outage that lasts more than a few hours, I hope to get several years of use out of it. I picked this one because of the small size and dual fuel options not to forget the remote start options as well.

Just bought this dual fuel WGen5300 a few weeks ago, just in time for a huge storm. I hooked it directly into my all house manual transfer switch. Using propane, it powered the whole house(did not try electric dryer which would likely exceed). Worked amazing. So nice to have a propane option that will last 10+ hours per tank. We can run gasoline to last longer, be more efficient for longer outages...but the propane burns cleaner, smells less, and is a little less noisy. Great options! Propane fired right up! Gas did not, however "moving the fuel to open" switch at the rear of the unit was not in the super nice "quick start" guide. Once I turned that in, gasoline fired right up, too. Hopefully this lasts a long time!

Bought this to replace a pull start gen. This generator has many nice features. Push button start is awesome haven't used the key fob yet. The duel fuel was a bonus. Propane saves on carb and fuel tank maintenance. Quieter than the old generator. Folding handle is helpful. Check that the plug ins work for you. Battery disconnect wasn't hooked together when we first unpacked it. So check that if it doesn't start right away.

Bought it 3 months ago. Tried starting it and was very impressed by how easily it started. Assuming it was good to go in all aspects, we never tried plugging anything into it until we took it to its 1st job. At that point, it was just a huge disappointment. Spent an hour trying to get it to produce power. Finally called the company, only to find out that we had to take our brand new generator to a service center to get it to work properly. Westinghouse dependability sucks to say the least.

I bought this generator after Hurricane Helene. It arrived the day our electricity came back on. We had to purchase rolling wheels separately as they didn't come with the generator. That was the only grip I had. The generator looks nice. It started up immediately using all methods (electric start, remote start & pull start) while using the gas & propane options. Even though we haven't had to use it yet it does give us confidence and piece of mind that we will have a reliable electrical backup when that time arises.

Have had it for just one week. Everything seems to work as it should. It has all of the features that I think are important. Duel fuel, electric start, CO and low oil shutoff and, hopefully, enough power for my needs. I did not buy a larger unit because I wanted one that would be fuel thrifty and still have enough power to run critical units in my home.

I bought this product about a month ago with the intent it will be for emergency purposes in the future. So far, so good. It was easy enough to set up and test some of the features. Luckily I haven't needed to use the generator just yet. Love that it has dual fuel capabilities and remote start.
