Great quality. Easy to set up.

Just received it yesterday. Nice looking unit. Very quick to set up and get running. Everything included with the generator including a battery charger for the electric start system and a remote start Fob.very happy with the unit. Has all the necessary outlets that i need to run the RV, backup for the house when the power goes out, and for remote powering of tools and equipment.

Great Features!

Have been wanting one for years, with doing a lot of research, this one seemed to check all of my boxes. One of the best features is that it can use propane as well gas. I love the feature of the electric start so I can use it to start and stop while in the house. Plan on building a housing for it so it can outside while in the rain and snow if needed.

Great features

Generator arrived nicely packed with tools, oil, wheel kit, all easy to install and get ready. Surprise to me that a battery charger was included. Started this baby up in one second on propane, did the one hour break in and then put a load on and didn't miss a beat. I am impressed with the fit and finish and the rugged construction. Generator is easy to roll around and it is much quieter than anticipated. This product deserves five stars, i would highly recommend this product.

Easy to operate

One week after I took delivery we had a power outage. It powered all the essentials, fridge, freezer, furnace fan, sump pump, plus a few extras. Having the dual fuel and electric start makes it easy to operate. Had our electrician install a transfer switch and it worked great with that.

Testing it All

I picked this up today, and so far, I'm testing it out using only propane. My wife insisted on purchasing a model with an electric start. I'm glad that she did because I can't start it using the recoil handle. I have tried it with and without the choke. I cut grass weekly with a lawn mower that only has a recoil handle, so I'm surprised that I am unable to start the generator using that method. Using the electric start with propane seems to be providing the correct voltage to the outlets that I have tested. I will contact Westinghouse technical assistance about the recoil issue. Also, the generator seems a lot louder than I expected it to be. I will recommend this generator to a friend, if I can work out the recoil issue.

So far, so good...

I bought this product about a month ago with the intent it will be for emergency purposes in the future. So far, so good. It was easy enough to set up and test some of the features. Luckily I haven't needed to use the generator just yet. Love that it has dual fuel capabilities and remote start.

easy to use and coinvent to carry around !

This is the first time for us to buy a generator. Due to recent frequent power off condition, we decided to buy a generator. It is small and easy to use. I like it to be a dual fuel generator: gasoline or propane. With two wheels, it is easy to move around . My husband said that it is even better if the motor oil tube position is put in the easier access. But overall, it is a good choice to have a backup power during emergency.

Piece of Mind

I bought this generator after Hurricane Helene. It arrived the day our electricity came back on. We had to purchase rolling wheels separately as they didn't come with the generator. That was the only grip I had. The generator looks nice. It started up immediately using all methods (electric start, remote start & pull start) while using the gas & propane options. Even though we haven't had to use it yet it does give us confidence and piece of mind that we will have a reliable electrical backup when that time arises.

Easy, powerful, versatile!

Just bought this dual fuel WGen5300 a few weeks ago, just in time for a huge storm. I hooked it directly into my all house manual transfer switch. Using propane, it powered the whole house(did not try electric dryer which would likely exceed). Worked amazing. So nice to have a propane option that will last 10+ hours per tank. We can run gasoline to last longer, be more efficient for longer outages...but the propane burns cleaner, smells less, and is a little less noisy. Great options! Propane fired right up! Gas did not, however "moving the fuel to open" switch at the rear of the unit was not in the super nice "quick start" guide. Once I turned that in, gasoline fired right up, too. Hopefully this lasts a long time!

Easy Start

The electric start was the best thing that came along. Right out of the box read up on the generator, installed the wheels and handle added the oil and was ready to go. Found a couple loose nuts on the mounts tightened them up and was good to go. Connected the propane tank tightened everything up hit the remote button and the generator started on the 2nd attempt. After warming up for a couple minutes plugged in some lights and everything worked. The real test will be when we lose power again .
