I expected a lot for this rail when I placed the order for 2 bed rails. But when I received the packages, one of the package was damaged severely so I didn't even bother to open it. The other one is fine with the package but when I opened it, I was shocked! The rail was apparently used! The parts were all loose in the box. It is rusted and very dusty, had stain on the fabric. I guess someone returned it to the store after long time use and walmart just resells without checking it. Very disgusting!

I purchased this bed rail for my 6 year old daughter. I could not be happier. I know she will not fall out of bed, but there is enough room for her to get out of bed for a late night potty run easily. I purchased a bed frame that did not require a box spring so it is a little difficult to slide under and pull out. I'm sure if it was used with a box spring it would be a little more smooth. Also, I was concerned about the height of the rail and the thickness of the mattress when I was making my purchase. Thankfully the 10 inch mattress does not affect the height of the bed rail. I'm a very satisfied customer and would recommend this product to every parent!

Ehhh. It works. Not great. Not worth the price but it serves its purpose. Just poorly thought out on design. It should strap and attach to the bed. Which I rigged it up to do so for added security but it's a real pain changing the bed if you don't find some way to attach the straps to the bed.

I purchased this guard rail in anticipation of keeping my two grandchildren ages 5 & 2 1/2 whil their parents were at the hospital giving birth to their new brother and convalescing. I knew that I would never get a wink of sleep if I was worrying about one of them (expecially the youngest) falling off of the bed and hitting the hardwood floor. This rail worked perfectly. It was long enough to leave no gaps at the head or foot of the bed and since it had braces that go beneath the mattress and hook on the opposite side, it did not slide out from under the mattress when their weight was resting against it. It worked perfectly!

It's very strong and practical. My son moves a lot during the night and this bed rail is perfect for him and for me because I can sleep without worries. Love the idea of being able to hide it under the mattress. Excellent purchase. Super recommended

I bought this to use in a more unconventional way. We have a Pekingese that sleeps on our king size bed with us. She stretches out like she is a Great Dane. For several years I have used pillows to keep her safe near the end of the bed. However, we do need that extra 12-18" for her (and my husband and I) to get better sleep. I put this together myself and it took 15 minutes...plus I had on stiletto finger nails...and I had no problems. Since we do have a platform bed and extra thick mattress (I didn't think of the mattress) - it does not come up as high as it should :(.......that shocked me...but it does the job - and fits almost 3/4 of the bottom of our king bed. Gives me peace of mind that Baby can't fall off or even jump (she has a bad back). I would definitely recommend!!

I ordered the the rails (I purchased 2 for each side of the bed) as an alternative to buying my baby a bed of his own. It serves it's purpose, keeps baby from falling. I have a sense of relief when sleeping at night, knowing that even though baby moves and scoots, he wont fall out of the bed. I put both rails up, give him some toys, and he is content and safe at the same time. I will say that they come out a bit far, so a bed close to the wall would be a problem. Other than that, I am pleased with my purchase!

Bed rail nice and long, fits secure. It took me a while to figure out the left and right pieces, I wish they had been marked. You definitely need help moving the mattress to get the bed rail secure. Happy with the item, but it is a little expensive. .

Perfect for my situation. Needed something to keep my 12 month old grandson in the bottom bunk during nap time. Needed something high and long enough to keep him safe. The strap connected to the rail that goes under the mattress and attaches to the other side is perfect in keeping the rail tight so he can't push it over. When I get him out of the bed the rail is easy to slide under the mattress where it can't be seen which makes it easy for someone else to use the bed. It isn't quite long enough so I positioned it so the open area is next to the night stand, I figure when he gets older I can leave the open end at the foot of the bed so he can get out easy. I did a lot of research in making this purchase, I didn't want to sit up another crib because of space we had for our other grandchildren because we have down sized, this little guy is our surprise baby. I would like it better if it was 12 to 18 inches longer, however it is perfect for our needs. Grandma or Ma-Maw

This Bed Rail works very well, is very solid but has a big design flaw. The problem is in the inner chambers that hold the rail/fabric, these two chambers lie under the mattress. It is built so you can fold down the rail/fabric and hide it under the bed and that works well. The chamber that holds the unit is 1 1/2" tall and this distorts the mattress above it. It puts the mattress on a slight incline and the mattress has to bend over the two chambers. IF the chambers were only 1/"2 high this could work but they are way to bulky to "hide" under the mattress. I am returning the unit. Other than the chambers being so big under the mattress it's a great piece of safety gear and is built well.
