I use Quicken to track income and expenses which in turn are downloaded into TurboTax for our tax returns. Instead of filing many pesky receipts by category, the Epson RapidRecipt is more efficient and time-saving by attaching receipts to matching transactions. The only con is that it took a couple of hours to figure out how to sync the receipt scans with the Quicken entries. The instructions could have been a little more precise, but my years of computer experience prevailed with success. I definitely recommend this product for people who manage a lot of receipts each month.

Don't buy if you use Mac equipment. The ability to produce reports fails with this Epson product. It has cost me hundreds of dollars of my IT's guys time to determine that this product is not able to produce a year end report summarizing my expenses. Save your money if you have a Mac.

This is a high end scanner, at a high end price. Does it earn its price? Absolutely! A lot of good about this scanner, and so little bad. Setup is a breeze, with detailed instructions and pictures starting from opening the box and setup. The size is perfect, and the scanner unit sits on my next to my monitor. After plugging the scanner in, and a few clicks, you are on your way. The unit FEELS quality to the touch. From the bright color screen to the adjustment areas for the size of the paper. There are options for scanning via USB, and receiving it via internet through a variety of means (Email, Google Drive, etc). I tried them all, and all were very straight forward. I went with the USB directly to my computer option because it was already on my desk, and it is so fast. Lets talk speed; SO FAST. I couldn’t believe how fast it was. I thought it wasn’t scanning. But it is scanning. DOUBLE SIDED. And not double sided by scanning once, and flipping it. At the same time. And somehow, just incredible quality. No paper became safe. I was introduced to the world of instant, high speed scanning. High quality scans of photos, yes! Better than an all in one flatbed for photos. A lot better. High quality scans of that receipt that is wrinkled and in your pocket, yes! High quality scans of that double sided document you have in a folder in your desk because you have to store it, yes! My paper desk drawer went from bulging to empty in an afternoon. The PDF software it comes with, combined with the touch screen made scanning over 500 pages, receipts, and pictures makes a “paper drawer” a thing of the past. Took me about 90 minutes of running back and forth to get it set up and still having issues. Do not like the review feature and can only disable it temporarily. I miss my Snap Scan already.

I was impressed by the compact size of the scanner for scanning full-size documents. Even more impressive is the speed at which this scanner scans. The color screen menu and accompanied software are intuitive and a breeze to use.

I just purchased this a couple of weeks ago. The set up directions, were terrible! Not everyone is “tech savvy.” Not sure if I will keep it…. Please think about ADDING DETAILED SET UP INSTRUCTIONS!

The scanner is very fast & the quality of the scans is very clean in most cases. I would have given a higher rating if the sofware did a better job of organizing the receipts for tax purposes

Bought this for the AI cataloging of scans. It doesn't install on Windows 11 and there's no AI cataloging of scans. Worst purchase ever.
