We are up grading from a smaller 3.5 kw generator.This one has the 120/240 receptacle to be able to power our house during an outage. Installing a transfer switch so it is easier to use and safer for the linemen repairing the lines. This will allow me to run my air compressor. I put it together added oil, gasoline, and gave it a pull. Started right up.

However the wheels make it much easier to move around and the handle is even a better touch. The noise is not as loud as some I have heard and it was easy to start with the pull start. We plan to connect it to the house so it will run a few major appliances like the deep freezer and fridge.

I have not used the generator in an actual power outage situation but when I ran a test it performed really well. I should have paid the difference and got an electric start but that was my mistake. It's a little loud but no more than expected. I believe it will meet my needs for a back-up during power outages.

This generator weighs over 200# but with the wheels on, it is easy to move around. Assembly was easy and I had it running in no time. Took my time, made sure all connections were secure and it fired right up. Pluged in a light and it worked just fine. Haven't had to use for emergency power yet, but now I am ready.

I purchased this in 2005 because of the hurricane Wilma, I live in Pompano Bch. FL. It has set in the garage for 12 years . I started it last year to check it and put it back. By the way it started right up no problem. Then along came Irma this year. I had pulled it out and got ready. I lost power Sunday and didn't get it back till the following Saturday. The generator ran flawless and I never shut it off. I kept the neighbors food. It ran my central ac, refrigerator, a wall ac,freezer,4 TVs,4 ceiling fans Water heater, pool pump, lights, microwave, boat lift and never stopped once. The best thing I've purchased. It sat along time but was there when I needed it. Thank you for a great product. My wife has 2 different forms of stage 4 cancer and we really needed this life saver. Wishing you all the best and hope we never need it again but if we do I know it will be there. Sincerely Pat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh wow! What an amazing opportunity to try this. We did use natural gas in this just to try it out and it was incredibly powerful! The unit is noisy but not so much that it would be a disturbance. Our old generator was much louder. This unit is quite compact and easy to move around. It will definitely come in handy when the power goes out! Love that it takes 3 different types of fuel too. Very convenient. Generac is such a trusted brand that lasts too!

Very easy to setup, had the house on backup within minutes of receiving the unit and it runs everything we need with power to spare. 10 circuits including fridge/freezer. well pump, boiler, lights, , microwave, kettle, toaster, home theater and office...!

After long storage battery dead. Customer service said had to disconnect battery we will ship a bra one. Well off days off storage so it should cut off the battery. I read the manual says on will drain it turn off. Nothing about discount. That was last fall. Took battery out Month ago one start was great left battery in month later won't start. Even with new battery. Plug is super dirty and chipped. Got a new one to put in this weekend. I am sure it's going to be a tough start. Now does a plug get so dirty on 38 hours of use? Going to change oil too. Don't know where fuel filter is either manual won't say and it doesn't look like a car filter. Also that list the part number for the plug but can't find out what type. I thought generac was a good brand. I was wrong. I wish I got a different brand that just starts up. I lost everything in the fridge because this refurb can't start past 38 hours of run time. Right now it turns but doesn't turn over

DIDN'T FIRE UP ON IT'S MAIDEN VOYAGE DESPITE FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS. WAS HARD TO LOCATE A UNIT DURING THE PANDEMIC AND HAD TO TRAVEL 4 HOURS ROUND TRIP TO GET IT. BOUGHT IT, THOROUGHLY READ THE MANUAL, DID EVERYTHING TO THE "T" OF RUNNING NON ETHANOL GAS, HOOKING IT UP TO TRICKLE CHARGER, ETC ETC. I TEST RAN IT EVERY WEEK. LAST NIGHT WE GOT HIT WITH A 2 FOOT PLUS STORM AND SHE DIDN'T FIRE. VERY, VERY VERY VERY VERY UNHAPPY AND NOT WHAT I EXPECT FROM GENERAC. SHAME ON YOU. I EXPECT A CALL FROM GENERAC INFORMING ME HOW THEY ARE GOING TO MAKE THIS RIGHT. THANKS.

I had an old generator that needed replacement. I looked at several but the 7500e seemed to fit what I needed and I had heard good things about Generac. It has electric start and kicks over immediately. I plugged it into the house and tested it with no problems. If I loose power, my basement could flood and in winter can get really cold so now I feel much more secure that I can power whatever is necessary in the house in any season. It is a bit loud by I can live with that in an emergency.
