[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Look like it’s pretty easy to maintain. The noise level isn’t too bad. I will add a video later of that. It is heavy and once you get the wheels on in the handles, it makes it a whole lot easier to move around, but you still know you’re moving something because it is heavy. It works very nice. I really can’t say how it’s going to hold up. I can update that later, but it looks like it’s made very well and at any time you have any problems I don’t know what’s going on. It has a one 800 number for you to call and they will help you out and I love that. It has a five year warranty And that it runs off of propane ,natural gas or gasoline. And this is the perfect time for us to have a generator with the electric going on and off with all the storms and everything. I am so happy with this.

This generator fit our needs perfectly. We have a small farm and needed a sizeable unit to power things when power is out with affordability. This unit is large but easy for my wife to move around. It is very easy to operate and quality is excellent.

Bought GP8000E in Feb 2025. Only had to use 4 times, had no problems until now June 20, 2025. Now one of the GFCI output units keeps tripping after 7 seconds with nothing plugged into it. The reset button keeps popping out. Tried pushing the reset button also. The GFCI is bad, this problem should not be happening after only 4 uses. The unit is only 5 months old. Generac reports they have none of these GFCI units in stock and do not know when they will be available to ship. Generac service dealer tells me I need to leave the unit with them and possibly in 2 to 6 weeks they may get an new GFCI unit. UNBELIEVABLE !!!

I purchased this model for my , home back power supply. It can handle all my needs such as power all my outlets , well pump , T.V. & Satellite . I been with out a gen before for over a week . You should speak to your local electrician about what you plan on powering . I can Run my electric hot water heater , but have to turn other things off if I need to make some hot water. we didn't feel it was necessary go larger , just to make hot water once a day .I highly recommend speaking to electrician before any purchase for all your needs electrical needs if you want a home back generator .

We bought our 76861 to replace our 20yr. old Coleman Powermate which still runs well.This machine will let us run more necessary things, like our well pump and furnace, and with the transfer switch, not have to dance over extension cords.I got 4 different wheels and tires for it, so now it is simple and easy to move over our yard, and in and out of the garage, looks like an open wheel modified from 1970.It started on the first pull after I put a couple of gallons of VP110 in the tank.It will only get 110 or VP SEF to eat, as you can leave it in the machine with no problems.I hooked it up to the house today, and it never seemed to notice the load.It is heavy, strong, and well made.It is well worth my money and I am very happy., with it and the 6853 transfer switch.

Purchased the gp6500e in case of power outages from hurricane Irma. Works exactly how you would expect. Instructions could be better but common sense goes a long way. The single quart of oil brings the unit just past the low mark on level ground, good thing I had backup oil on hand. Battery came with enough charge to start it right out of the box. Has been running constantly with no hiccups. 9/10 Would buy again!

The generator came with oil and clear instructions for assembly and operation. It starts very easily and has operated dependably each time I needed it. I had to call customer service to register my warranty and the person I spoke with was very friendly, spoke clear english and took care of everything I needed. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would strongly recommend this product.

I am so happy and relieved to have this "security blanket" just in case of a snowstorm, as our main heat source comes from a pellet stove. I feel safe now that I have this reliable backup!!

My GP7500E is performing beautifully after Hurricane Irma, but it is very loud. Is there a way to quiet it down? Like a muffler upgrade? FYI, I'm getting more hours per gallon than rated, but that may be because I'm very conscientious about what is using it and when.

took about 6 weeks to deliver but it arrived this past Friday on a wooden pallet. the parts were nicely boxed separately and within an hour the wheels and handle were installed and oil filled. Pulled the choke and it started on the second try. i haven't connected to the house but my initial impression is if it runs as well as it's put together and shipped then i will be very happy with this purchase. Definitely pay the extra for drop gate shipping to your house but don't be intimidated by the weight; assembly is an easy one man job. I did buy 3rd party collapsible handles and a trickle charger but everything else is complete and fully accessible (oil dip stick, filter & drain line, air filter, battery, etc). even included extra spark plugs, air and oil filters leaving no excuse to not properly maintain.
