Great Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the Generac 3600 Portable Generator. Easy to start, very good product, very easy to move. Runs quietly compared to other generators. Like the feature that lets you know when its time to change oil and air filter.

Saved me during Milton

This generator is the real deal. Don’t bother with the champion or any other brand. If you see the Generac on sale, you buy it. After Milton, when our homes were devastated, and I need to maintain power for myself and my neighbors to save our refrigerators, I was able to do so for four households while powering a fan for over 125 hours of run time, Out of the box. This is an incredible piece of machinery and it’s something that I’m going to care for and have for a very long time.

Hurricanes savior

Sam’s through last minute before hurricane. Generators come in short supply when everybody is preparing for a hurricane. Found one online at 1am they said was in stock, not sure if it was actually I bought It then and there hoping they would hold. Sam’s did just that, with no other generators available they pulled it and set it aside for me. This was obviously a huge relief for me and my family and my appreciation is endless. The generator started up first time and kept us safe and comfortable while the power was out. Look forward to the many years of service this bad boy will provide to my family.

Power-Saver

We bought this as a back up when our power goes out. It was much less expensive and easier to install than the whole house generators. Sure, we have to move it outside and plug it in, but it is enough to power what we really need to be comfortable.

Solid Generator

My generator has worked flawlessly since I purchased it. Unfortunately I have been unable to get it to work as I had intended, which is to run my pool circulation pump during winter power outages. I have verified through multiple electrical experts that my connection from the generator to the pool equipment is correct. My next step is to adjust the Hertz output down to 60 from the 62 it is currently producing. Any direction you can provide me to make that adjustment would be sincerely appreciated.

Only 4 stars

Generator is great but the battery was dead and would not charge. The battery was basically worthless, shouldn’t have to buy a replacement battery for a brand new in the box generator.

Be careful you will not get your CC REMOVED

The Purchase of the generator was great but they would not let me remove my CC numbers so I called and they said we keep your number for automatic renew and would not let me remove so I closed my on line account I did not authorize this.

Leaks gasoline like a faucet

I bought a GP7500E that leaks gasoline from the carburetor like a faucet. The same problem with the GP5500 has been well documented on the internet and YouTube, yet the Generac rep I just spoke to on the phone has "never heard of the problem" - apparently cause by a cheaply made corroding float needle. Another company used the same carburetor on their generators, but at least they had the decency to conducting a recall for their customers and send out new carburetor kits. I'll never buy another Generac based on the company's lack of safety concern regarding these leaking carburetors. The service center charges $100 to pick it up under warranty. Thanks, Generac. I'll buy a better made replacement needle for this carburetor from from Honda and repair it myself. Anyone considering purchasing a Generac portable generator should Google "Leaking Generac Carburetor" before purchasing from this company. They're product is an obvious fire hazard. (I doubt you'll post this on your website, but I WILL be posted this review on other retailer websites, too -- just because Generac has "never heard of this float needle problem". Serial# 5978320A

I cant give a review since I have not been able to check the equipment.

Out of failure. As soon as I pour gas into the gas tank it start to run out onto the battery, the leak is next to the shut off valve. I immediately customer service @ 888 436 3722 to report the issue the gas tank was leaking above the battery. rep wanted to know if the tank was crack I told her I did not know. The rep then activate the extended warranty then give me two Authorized Generac Service Dealers. I call the service dealer who instructed me to contact the Merchant i purchased the Generator from, since it is a out of box failure. Photo and video attached.
