This just what I expected it to be. The electric start is wonderful. The handle folds up to move the generator and folds down for storage. Everything is easy accessible and viewable. We have used it twice so far for power outages.

Haven't had a real reason to use yet, did try it and worked great, very easy to use and easy on gas.Run my whole garage onit just to see if it would take care of different tools at same time, no problem

I've only had the opportunity to use the generator a couple of times but it does everything I could ask. This unit actually has enough power to run essentials for myself and my neighbor. He's got the snow thrower and I've got the generator.

Have powered this up 7 times, lit up the house twice, dependable.... but needs nose abatement technologies applied with off-the-shelf equip. to reduce the decibels.

I put a meter on the outputs and ran different test loads. The generator voltage dip was minimal. Fast recovery. Pretty consistent voltage and current output. Very happy with this generator.

I bought this new generator new in the box for our deer camp. We unboxed it and added the oil and clean gasoline and started it. It was gushing gas out of the carb so we had to shut it down. When we called Menards to bring it back for an exchange they said that they don't take them back and we had to bring it to a certified repair shop that was 75 miles away from our camp. Needless to say, we didn't have a generator for deer season because the repair shop was booked. When I picked it up the owner said that the carb was full of gunk and that he couldn't even charge Generac for the repair because it was a fuel issue. how could that be possible when it was brand new out of the box? I am very disappointed that we have a generator that could be a lemon and the repair shop didn't get paid!

Just bought this a month ago and haven't had the need to use it yet. But I did have to assemble the handle, wheels, add oil and gas and start it. My review is solely based on that. The wheels were relatively easy to assemble, keeping in mind that the machine is heavy and you will need to lift it on blocks, or use a helper. They give you a perfectly shaped funnel to add the oil. Don't lose it. The handles are easy to install and conveniently fold down when not in use. They make it very easy to roll around on the two wheels. You also need to connect the battery wires, which they don't explain very well. Remember Red is positive, Black is negative. My only gripe is with the gas tank cover, though. It is very large, and very low profile, and it is in a sunken area of the tank. It is very difficult to get a grip on it to remove as it is also very tight. Why did they make it like this? I've never had any machine have a cap like this. It does have a convenient fuel level bubble. The gas tank is 8 gallons, not just 5 like my older model. It is rated at a continues 8KW, although the 240V 4-prong cable that connects to the breaker panel is only capable of carrying 7.2KW. You need to use the 2 120V outlets to get a total of 8KW. Keep in mind that the battery does not get recharged by running the engine. You have to use the included wall charger. Although, a single start is not going to use much power, so you don't need to worry too much about always keeping the wall charger connected. But definitely charge it fully when it is new. It has picture-based instructions on the frame. But they aren't very useful as they pictures are too small to figure out what they are saying. Remember to turn the fuel shutoff to ON and set the choke to ON when starting it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to assemble and to wheel around. Weighted over 200 lbs so it was a challenge to move the whole box. Works great and low noise. Full tank can go about 10 hrs of run time and I'm happy with that. Easy plug in and use.

It requires gasoline which is a minus for me because of the smell but at the same time, it is easy to find and purchase. This is a very heavy item, and you will need a friend to move it around!

Power outages are pretty common where I live, and having this gives me real peace of mind knowing I can keep our outdoor refrigerator running and save our perishables if we lose power. The generator itself is quite large, but that's to be expected given its power and capacity — and setup was surprisingly easy with minimal assembly required right out of the box. It feels solid, well-built, and dependable. While I mainly use it as a backup for power loss, it's strong enough to handle outdoor work or hobby use as well. It's one of those purchases you hope you don't need often, but you're so thankful to have when you do.
