GFCI outlets do not reset.. pretty useless... the only thing that works always is 30a twist lock... CO sensor is garbage... shuts it off when on my cellar stairs... don't by it!!!

so far, the product has met my expectations. the setup was fairly easy. It would be nice if the manual print had a larger font. It would also be nice if the generator came with a wattage meter.

I purchased this generator to supply power when the electric goes out due to storms and high winds at our home. Set up was very quick with attaching the wheels, handle bar, and front stops. I filled the unit with the supplied oil, put a little gas in it and hit the electric start. Battery was dead, probably due to prolonged storage. This was actually good because it forced me to try the pull start. I was shocked how easily it started! My 16 year old daughter could have easily started it which is great if I’m not around to use it. I charged the battery and tested the electric start and it worked great. The unit is much quieter than I thought it would be too. Works great!!

The generator stopped giving the power output after two hours running straight. I tried troubleshooting in every way and it’s still not working. Worst when we were transporting this to Sam’s Club to return, the wheel broke. Very disappointed with the quality two issues on the same day. Now, it’s stuck in my garage and I can’t even move it because it’s super heavy and the wheel doesn’t work .

This is the real deal. My 16 year old Storm Responder was getting tired after many hurricanes and power outages then Beryl hit us hard. Time to upgrade, Picked this thing up from Sam's on sale. Had to drive to to Lake Charles to find one in stock but Curb Side pick up worked flawless. I pulled up, they tossed it in back of my truck and I was on the way back home. Took about an hour to assemble because directs were poor at best. Started instantly the first time. Ran the next 100 hours strait stopping only for fuel and oil changes. I have a 30A transfer switch on my breaker box. Running a 12k BTU window AC unit and the rest of my 1800SF house minus the central AC unit was a breeze. Fuel usage was about 1 gallon every 2 hours. About 6 gallons each 12 hour fill up. The only feature I wish it have was a usage/demand meter to see what the load is but it NEVER struggled. Buy this one!

I bought this new generator new in the box for our deer camp. We unboxed it and added the oil and clean gasoline and started it. It was gushing gas out of the carb so we had to shut it down. When we called Menards to bring it back for an exchange they said that they don't take them back and we had to bring it to a certified repair shop that was 75 miles away from our camp. Needless to say, we didn't have a generator for deer season because the repair shop was booked. When I picked it up the owner said that the carb was full of gunk and that he couldn't even charge Generac for the repair because it was a fuel issue. how could that be possible when it was brand new out of the box? I am very disappointed that we have a generator that could be a lemon and the repair shop didn't get paid!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This generator came almost fully put together. Super simple instructions for putting together/use and I love how powerful it is. It's easy to fuel up and set up the controls aren't to complicated. We used it with multiple bad snowstorms this last year and it never let us down. Would absolutely recommend and it's worth every penny.

Just bought this a month ago and haven't had the need to use it yet. But I did have to assemble the handle, wheels, add oil and gas and start it. My review is solely based on that. The wheels were relatively easy to assemble, keeping in mind that the machine is heavy and you will need to lift it on blocks, or use a helper. They give you a perfectly shaped funnel to add the oil. Don't lose it. The handles are easy to install and conveniently fold down when not in use. They make it very easy to roll around on the two wheels. You also need to connect the battery wires, which they don't explain very well. Remember Red is positive, Black is negative. My only gripe is with the gas tank cover, though. It is very large, and very low profile, and it is in a sunken area of the tank. It is very difficult to get a grip on it to remove as it is also very tight. Why did they make it like this? I've never had any machine have a cap like this. It does have a convenient fuel level bubble. The gas tank is 8 gallons, not just 5 like my older model. It is rated at a continues 8KW, although the 240V 4-prong cable that connects to the breaker panel is only capable of carrying 7.2KW. You need to use the 2 120V outlets to get a total of 8KW. Keep in mind that the battery does not get recharged by running the engine. You have to use the included wall charger. Although, a single start is not going to use much power, so you don't need to worry too much about always keeping the wall charger connected. But definitely charge it fully when it is new. It has picture-based instructions on the frame. But they aren't very useful as they pictures are too small to figure out what they are saying. Remember to turn the fuel shutoff to ON and set the choke to ON when starting it.

The electric start is a plus, and the fuel tank easily held a 5 gallon gas container.
