Features and price

So far I am very satisfied but did not get a chance to put it to an actual test. The predicted storm did not materialize and we never lost our power but I was confident that I was ready for anything with my new Generac 7500E. It was filled with oil, the battery charged and gas. Test started and it fired right up.

Must have!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm really happy to finally have a generator. This takes a little worry away knowing we are protected if an emergency arises and we find ourselves without power. I have several friends and family members who have generac generators so I knew this would be a reliable, quality product. The unit is pretty much ready to go out of the box. Easily assembly and you're up and running. It is a nice size compact unit and fairly lightweight. It has a handle for easy maneuvering. It's pretty straightforward and easy to get started. Theres also a picture chart on the unit itself listing the steps to start the unit. I was impressed with how quiet the unit actually is. I thought it was going to be this loud hunk of machine and its totally not. This generator will be great as a backup if the power ever goes out. I'm always worried about losing all our food in the fridge and deep freezer. I am impressed with the look of this generator also. Everything is labeled clearly and easy to understand. Highly recommend this product to anyone who may find themselves without power. It's always good to have on hand because you never know when something might happen.

Bad Bad Bad

F...ing garbage. Do not buy. Runs rough if it starts. Worst generator I've ever had. I would say used but can't hardly use it. Bought new. Was garbage right out of the box. Should have returned. Spen up and get a Honda. This thing is junk

Very Happy

Here in the Northeast we just got pounded with a winter blizzard, power out for 5 days on my street. Our Generac 6500 performed up to my expectations and then some. 90+ hours of straight run time and didnt skip a beat. We had this unit wired direct from our service panel to tranfer breaker panel with an outside outlet and 20' cord. 2- Frig's, heat, kitchen lights and outlets, microwave, livingroom lights and outlets, 3 bedrooms lights, office lights and outlets, garage lights, 2 bathrooms lights, cable, internet, tv..

A Great Portable Generator

New model from Generac. Assembly of the unit was amazingly simple. Directions were very clear except the exclusion of the guideline to attach the spark plug connection to the spark plug, I assumed this was already done before shipping. Start up was very quick and easy. Tested the generator and it ran well and meets all my needs and expectation. Sleek appearance and many great features

Association said no Propane

I checked with my HOA, they said no to Propane back up. So after researching what my needs were and knowing the quality of Generac. I purchased a GP17500 after talking with a Generac consultant I knew this would run my whole house. Live in Florida known for Hurricanes,I am worry free in the event power goes down.

Great value for the price

Purchased the GP7500E (special sale price) at Canadian Tire. Assembled and started right up on first try. Appears to be a good quality unit, great value for the price. Just wish it came with a float charger instead of the supplied batter charger so it could be left plugged in at all times.

Excellent value for the money

This new unit is replacing a 9 KW portable unit that ran my whole house except for the Hot Tub and central AC. The new Generac runs the whole house with power left over. I just wish that it would come with a voltmeter. It was easy to assemble and runs great.

This product works great!

My company purchased this generator at the recommendation of our electrician. We have a 20,000 sq ft facility (5k office, 15k warehouse). We looked into a 45-60kw standby generator but felt the cost was too high. We decided to try this unit with a manual transfer switch for our facility. One week after installation we lost power for 2 business days. This generator ran 2 HVAC office units, 6 modine gas heaters, 25 personal computers, 3 computer servers and related hardware, office telephone, fridge, half of the office and warehouse lights and more. If we could have hooked up the transfer switch to more of the breakers I think this unit would have powered almost the entire facility. It started and ran without skipping a beat. We spent a fraction of the price quoted for a built in standby unit. We would recommend this setup to any small business.
