[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive been through 15+ hurricanes and I can say that Ive used a lot of generators during those storms. This is definitely one of, if not, the best generator Ive owned. The crank is a little hard to pull at first but the operation and output is tremendous. Lots of additional outlets and the ease of adding fuel (with the tank being centered on top) makes this a great find.

Received brand new just a few days ago, ahead of a big storm. It ran for five minutes and then died as soon as it got a little wet. Tried restarting, but it shuts down immediately every time. Throwing fault P1600, which nobody knows what it means. Generac L2 support is largely unhelpful and can only advise me to disconnect the battery (which did not fix anything). Let it dry out for an hour and it ran for another five minutes before dying. None of the local service centers have the time or experience to work on an EFI generator and will not service it. In New England, a failed generator can be life threatening. This will be my last Generac. Not reliable at all.

I have supplied the house through 3 power actual outages since 2013 Dec for short duration's under 12-hours. Run the GP1750E every couple months to make sure it works when needed. Starts up on no more than 2=pulls / and right away when using the electric start. Load Test Run with 3-HP LPAC [Low Pressure Air Compressor 150 psig] for the sand blaster and other lights and equipment in pole barn. Also run Simulated Power Outage Load Test to supply the house VITAL LOADS connected to our 100 Amp Sub-Panel Load Center about 4 times a year. [[Main Breaker Panel is 200 Amp --- Sub Panel is 100 Amp for fuel-oil heat, well water, sump pump, electric water heater, freezers/refrigerators, appliances in kitchen, various lighting circuits.]] Have TV, Computers, MODEM-Router, Printers on their own UPS [Uninterrupted Power Supply] to give me time to setup generator to supply electric to house. Can set-up and power house in about 5-10 minutes. Great Generator for the $$$ --- only regret was I didn't get a 15-KW Generac automatic Stand-By unit --- but I live in the rural area without natural gas and didn't want to invest in propane just for a generator.

I'm impressed, it did it's job!! It was so easy to put together, the instructions were clear cut, and I'm overall impressed with it. If I had any qualms, i would say it's a little pricy for me, but I'm so very thankful I now have one. It's a good product and I would recommend.

I had been looking into getting one since Irma came through and we lost power for a week. Now I have one big enough to run my chest freezer, refrigerator, a lamp and a fan. The box came damaged, but the product was in tact and had all the bolts required to put the handle and wheels on.

I live in the Suburbs of Buffalo where the winters are awful. I bought this Generator as protection for my family when we needed it the most. We lost power for almost a day, my new family, including my newborn son were able to stay warm. If you want a Power House of a Generator, that can run Fridges, Freezers, light stoves and ovens, and keep the heat on! This is the BEAST - I mean, best to get ;-) Running a Fridge, Freezer, Furnace, and several lights and Electronics, gas lasted 6 hours. Unit has 5 gal capacity. Rule of thumb is an hour a Gallon to be on safe side. I am a Generac Customer for life. GP8000e with COsense is an amazing unit. Thank you.

A lot of features for the money! This unit delivers emergency power for our whole house, except for the oven and dryer. With it, freeers and refrigerators have enough amps to start their compressors, something smaller generators do not! Also, It has overheating shutdown, which is a great reliability feature. The only problem we’ve had so far is with the battery start. the terminals on the battery come loose way to easily. An inexpensive alternative to the permanent generators, which can easily run over $10000 installed.It is sad that we have a need for this technology, when our parents had cheap reliable energy. And it all could of been avoided.

Haven't actually used it yet as we haven't lost power. BUT I had a friend put it together for me and he showed me how to start it up and it is so easy for me - I'm a girl and sometimes these mechanical things are tricky for me. I'm not dumb by any means - but I'm very busy with full time work and raising kids and was caring for my elderly Dad (who helped me buy the generator ... by the way). So, sometimes I don't have time to figure out stuff ... anyway it's a nice product - only complaint is it doesn't say how much of the oil you package with the machine should be mixed with the gas - we assumed all of it but ... and I am concerned about the gas sitting in it. I had to fuel it up to be sure it worked after I purchased it, but since I haven't used it and may not for a while ??? I'll read the book to see! Thanks and please don't share my personal info. Unit was defected. No output power. None of authorized shop recommend can fix it. Could not refund to due to crazy FleetFarm policy. Running around for 2 weeks trying to get it fix. Loss $20 to drain gas not cover by warranty. Terrible experience. Don't recommend it.

I had Purchased This Unit From CED in Hudson on May 14th 2025. Brought it home Installed proper gas and oil Tried to start it it started for a few seconds so I called Generac They told me to take it to be serviced at MacDaddy's Small engine repair in Land O lakes. They still have it there, It had faulty Parts. Your Company would not replace it.
