[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This generator is reliable and versatile, I’m impressed with its features and functionality. It can run from 3 fuel sources which makes it convenient for many emergencies or when you need it most. The wattage and power is impressive. This runs my deep freezer for hours without any issues. It was easy to assemble and the wheels and handle make it easy to move around. This generator is incredible, the noise level is surprisingly low for as much power that it boasts. This is perfect for the power outages that have unfortunately become more common in this area. This is a product and brand that I highly recommend.

I would recommend Generac to anyone. I am very pleased with its performance and features. Wish I had of bought this alot sooner and not suffered discomfort during any power outages before now. Dont wait buys yours today! Portable so it has so many uses of ease and convenient.

Brought my new GP8000E generator home, unboxed it, assembled it, prepped it for the first run and then started it and watched as gas ran out of the air cleaner box. The only way I could get it to stop was to siphon the gas out of the tank. Apparently during the manufacturing of the unit someone mis-installed, mis-assembled or mis-welded the internal tank vent tube allowing gas to leak continuously from the tank. Serious safety hazard if I had not caught it. I went and talked to my local Generac reseller service center and was told they are 1 to 1.5 months backlogged but go ahead and drop it off, and of course he had never run across this issue before. Will I be buying another Generac product again…… NEVER. And for you wondering why I don’t give them a second chance…. this was their second chance. I had bought a smaller generator about 10 years ago for emergency use only. It only got started every 3 months and ran for an hour. I changed the oil and as it was draining out I saw aluminum particles coming out with the oil. So it only had a few hours on it but the engine had deteriorated internally and was past the warranty so it was junk.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a powerful generator! It is very durable and a medium size, so you can move it around if needed. Easy to use and hook up to your appliances. There is some noise but half of the noise of my neighbors generator. This is a must buy!

I wanted to add a generator after how cold this winter has and fearing not having heat for my two small children. However, I have had to use it already twice this summer, and it has started up each time. I have even had some neighbors come over during the storms so they could make their kids comfortable as well.

Set up was fast and the directions made it easy. We ran the generator for 60 hours straight only stopping to put in gas and check the oil. The generator started quickly and never gave us any issues. We used the 220V outlet to run power to our breaker boxes. This allowed us greater comfort than running many extension cords.

This is my third season with this generator and thus far it has worked as it should. I don't have any experience with other generators and brands so I cannot tell how this specific model is relative to the others but thus far, it has not let me down. Some observations though. 1. The battery is on a trickle charger and this keeps the battery fully charged. This is a good thing because it takes a great deal of effort, at least for me, to use the manual start. 2. This one is a gripe. The manual states that old fuel should not be kept in the fuel tank. I get it. However there is no easy way to drain the fuel! I use a hand pump to remove the old fuel at the end of each season. Generac could have easily added a de fueling valve to its gas tank.

This is a brand new product for me, I’ve only had it for a few days. My power was out for about 36 hours and I used this generator the entire time. It started right up and ran fine. I am not a fan of how weak and flimsy the wheels are, I don’t think they will last long.

I have had the pleasure of not having to use my generator that I purchased just over a year ago. However for the first time this summer it was finally used but yet again not by me. During a series of severe weather outbreak a friend of mine last power due to downed trees. I offer my generator to him to help keep his basement from flooding. His intention were just to use it for the sump pump. He ended up running not only the pump, but his freezers, refrigerator, air conditioning units and other things. He used it for 40 hours straight and forgot he was even on a generator until he had to fill it after the first 27 hours of run time.

I wanted to get something to have as a backup to power our homes freezer and refrigerator along with a few small appliances. My main focus was simplicity. I need to make sure my wife could operate the unit while I was overseas and not needing to read an owners manual to operate it. Purchasing this product was a great decision and I am very satisfied with the whole package. It really is a peace of mind.
