This new unit is replacing a 9 KW portable unit that ran my whole house except for the Hot Tub and central AC. The new Generac runs the whole house with power left over. I just wish that it would come with a voltmeter. It was easy to assemble and runs great.

We absolutely LOVE our new generator. We can run all the critical items in our home during an outage, including our ductless A/C unit! We lived through hurricane Matthew last year and with a new storm season on us again here in FL, we bought this generator. Its as close to 'stand by' as we can afford - and we couldn't be happier to have it!

A power loss at our daughter's home led to our purchasing this product which was of such superior quality to the "store" brand as to make this an easy decision. Quick and relatively easy set up (one balky nut/bolt) got her the power she needed to save a freezer of food. This product is sturdy, solid and easy to start.

Had to replace the generator I left behind in my previous home after 14 years of use. It was a Generac. I looked at several other brands, but settled on the Generac because of the reliability, wattage and value. Received it yesterday, assembled the wheels, feet and battery, and it started on the first try. Thanks.Tim31

Excellent reliability, use on job, always starting and stopping the generator.. Even dropped off of the side of a roof, and it landed up side down , still started first pull after this incident...I have replaced the pull cord once during my two years of ownership

We were into a two day power outage and the temperature was in the 20's. Called ahead and paid over the phone - picked Generac because of the name and quality. Drove 70 miles and picked it up and by the time I got home I was too tired to put it together. It got down to 13, but our propane stove kept us warm - put our food outside! Got the generator put together and the power came on! Took a break, added oil and cranked w/o gas to make sure everything was oiled good and it started! Filled with gas and started on the first crank. Plugged in 2 space heaters and the truck engine heater and let it run for an hour and a half to break it in for next time. Plugged in the battery charger and charged for 24 hours to make sure it is ready to go - really like the battery start feature! Great purchase for us - we have been wanting to get one. It was easy to put together, add wheels, handles, added oil/gas. Even though it has electric start, just before starting, I pulled the cord very lightly just to ensure the oil was distributed, the unit started! Very reliable! The electric start works too. Would recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is a beast- in the best way! Its quality and I love the rugged wheels it comes with making it portable. The best feature is the tri fuel. It’s great to have multiple options to power it. Worst part is how heavy it is and trying to get the wheels attached.

Spent a lot of money on this generator and it won’t even crank. Not every generac dealer works on portable units, so took research, time and extra calls to find a dealer that would come out. The repair company has replaced the starter, the carburetor, magnetos, the list goes on yet it STILL WONT CRANK. This is extreme frustrating for the money spent.

The unit was delivered and it took me a few weeks before I set it up. Too bad it doesn't ship with wheel kit already installed, it is a 2 man job for set up. After getting the transfer switch installed, tested the unit on a full load and works great. Easy to crank but had to purchase a charger for the battery after 3 months. It is loud even when placed in idle mode and the metal cover rattles near the muffler. I love it though.
