[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a multigenerational household who just switched to this refrigerator from an old traditional side by side. This refrigerator has so much space! It fit perfectly in our older kitchen and does not stick out or impede the use of the cabinets around it at all. The freezer is a great configuration to store large items on the bottom and smaller items and ice packs on the top. The refrigerator took a little getting used to and reconfiguring where we wanted everything but it really does make great use of all the space ensuring no space goes to waste. It holds a ton! We got some refrigerator storage bins to organize the shelves and everyone loves it! Being as we are a multigenerational household, we never really know who will be making a grocery store stop, the show me what’s in the fridge feature is amazing! We can quickly assess the needs of the family while out and about. I have also never seen my husband so eager to wash the dishes now that he can play YouTube videos on the fridge while in the kitchen. Our toddler is amazed that she can both draw pictures on the fridge and watch “Miss Rachel.” Personally, my favorite feature is the ice options. A small up of ice water from the door, or filling up my large tumbler with ice for the day from the freezer drawer with the scoop in seconds! It is definitely our new favorite appliance!

I enjoy the fact that I can see the contents of the inside of my refrigerator while at the store making easy to not forget the important items that are needed. I didn’t realize how big this refrigerator was until it was installed in my home and there was still plenty of room for more food! The shelves in the refrigerator are big enough to hold all the condiments with ease. I love the fact that there are two ways to get ice, one from the fridge door and one bin in the freezer that makes pellet sized ice which is my favorite, and it includes an ice scoop. The Family Hub is a talking point when family or guest visit. It’s easy to leave notes, watch some TV, stream music, or even surf the web.

This fridge is terrible, first the left door won’t stay open unless you make the fridge not level and use the biggest door shim they give you…and even then it creeps shut half the time. And to make matters worse, that door doesn’t close easily and I find it open all the time wasting energy. It doesn’t even trigger the open door alarm, what a piece of junk. I don’t recommend this fridge to anyone, it’s way overpriced for what you get. Samsung needs to fix these issues and stop selling junk like this. Really regret my purchase 100%!!!

We decided to splurge and get the family hub which has been quite the conversation piece. It’s so much fun and we love that we can leave each other notes. The stainless steel get matches our other appliances from 5 years ago.

A couple of minor issues: ice cubes often fall into the storage tray and are too high so when opening the freezer drawer, they hit the top of the unit and fall onto the floor of the unit; the touch screen is only slightly intuitive and is hard to get to display specific screens sometimes; the screen also froze one and needed to be turned off and on to reboot but was fine after that.

We bought $300 worth of groceries mainly for the fridge and it still looked pretty empty! There is so much storage space on the side doors as well! You can fit a gallon of milk in the side door which is great. The freezer has plenty of space too! We definitely love the family hub! It was so simple to set up and personalize, the hardest thing is keeping the kids away from it. I love that you can control the temperature and ice from the app and actually see what’s inside the fridge from it as well! You just can’t see whats in the side doors. It makes 4 different types of ice which is a dream come true for an ice lover like myself! The alarm when the door is left open is such a life saver especially if you have children who don’t pay much attention to what they do. It sound an alarm from the fridge and it send a notification to my phone. It definitely brings my kitchen together with its high quality sleek design. It is such a statement piece when people come over!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even though my “old” refrigerator was only 6 years old, the same brand as this one, and was still working great, I was intrigued by the Samsung RF27CG5900SR. And I am glad I was. As my title states, the future is now. This is an incredible refrigerator. Yes, it has a refrigerator section, a freezer, water and cube maker, yet it is so much more. The big difference is the “family hub”. The hub is viewable both on the right-hand refrigerator door, one’s cell phone and computer. The hub lets me know the settings of the refrigerator and freezer, such as temperature - settings which can be changed either from the refrigerator door or my cell phone. Great, but that is just the beginning. A camera lets me see what is in the refrigerator, a feature that is very useful when I am food shopping and can view what is inside the refrigerator via my cell phone. The refrigerator is so smart that it also identifies food items and identifies that, for example, I removed artichokes and may need to purchase more. We’re not even close to being done. The hub allows me to watch, on the refrigerator door, a slideshow of my photographs, watch Samsung TV, YouTube videos, use the internet, interface with my other Samsung appliances, such as TV’s, washer and dryer, stove top, ring cameras, etc. Using these features is quite easy and while it has what appears to be a detailed instruction book, I have been able to figure most things out just by exploring. I have only had the refrigerator for 4 days now and am learning new features every day. On the practical side, the refrigerator is designed well. Very roomy with shelves and side shelves just where you want them to be. The freezer is nicely partitioned. There is a “cooling panel” which helps keep items at the right temperature is a nice feature. I know one can’t love intimate objects, but I can say I love having and using the Samsung RF27CG5900SR.

The stylish stainless steel fits perfectly with any decor. I like that it has a built-in ice maker on the door and that I can get access to crushed or curved ice and chilled water with a click of a button. If I want cubed ice or ice bites I can access the ice maker inside of the freezer drawer. The ice maker makes ice quickly, and with four choices I have never run out yet. There's so much room Inside of this refrigerator. The three shelves are nicely spaced, and the center shelf can be adjusted. I like that the middle shelf can be slid back for taller items. There are also two large clear drawers and one very large drawer located in the refrigerator. This refrigerator is so much deeper than my last one and can fit so much more. I like how deep the freezer drawers are. There are two layers of drawers. The top drawer slides back to reveal two more drawers. I have no issues fitting all of my frozen goods inside this freezer. The all-around cooling system ensures that all of my food gets the same amount of refrigeration. I love that if the doors are left open too long an alarm will sound by playing music. Me and my family voted, and the best part of this refrigerator is the family hub, We can leave each other messages, find recipes, listen to music, display pictures, and even see what is inside the refrigerator with just a click of a button. There are so many things to do and learn on this system, we love it! It's by far my best purchase in appliances.
