Best fridge I have ever had.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the only fridge that has not giving me any problems for years. My others were having problems with in the first few years. And I have tried alot of brands and it has always been the same, the problem start after just a year or two. So LG is new to me and I will only buy LG from now on.

Loving the new refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything about this refrigerator has impressed us thus far. Arrived in perfect shape and install was a breeze. Love how LG thought about making things simple to do. Easy roll out for access and cleaning.

New owner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks modern and blend well in our small kitchen. Like the freezer drawer for easy access. Big ice cube bucket a plus for the summer. Storage on both refrigerator doors is a bit crowded. Temperature preset and don't see on manual whether it can be adjusted (or maybe not necessary). Only bought it for a month so can't give any review on durability.

Mild Disappointment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a new fridge & decided on the LG #LFCS22520S because of the price, as compared to other French door models with a bottom freezer. There was no way to see the item at any store I contacted, as it was not a stock item. Even after looking at the online pictures, which appeared to reflect a lot of organized space, I found after it was in my home (and couldn't be returned) the interior compartments were not user friendly. The veggie & fruit baskets on each side are semi-spacious but, the right veggie bin can't be fully opened, as it's blocked by left door. The only was to access is by opening ‘both’ exterior doors, causing the temperature to unnecessarily drop. The 'glide & serve drawer' also has the same design problem, due to it being the full inside width of the fridge. The 4 interior shelves are adjustable, but to add anything tall IE: gal jugs, liter bottles or pitchers, 1 shelf must be removed, losing valuable storage space the removed shelf would normally offer. I tried putting tall items in the door but found it also to not be the best use of space. Organization is another hurdle. I use labeled baskets to keep similar items together and I also used 2 clear bins from my previous fridge for additional storage. Because the shelves must be adjusted for tall items, I lost valuable space on 1/2 of the fridge and due to shelves needing adjustment for so many items this fridge, in my opinion, is no different than a side by side and defeats the purpose of its full width. The shelves can also slip off the rail on each side as there is nothing holding the shelf in place. Shelf will move side to side and if not checked it could slip of rail and drop down. Trying to find space for items that are lower in height or flat IE: butter, eggs, wine (on sides), bacon, cheese as a few examples, I tried using the glide & serve drawer. Again, not easy access because both exterior doors must be open to extend the drawer and retrieve items. Unfortunately, it's the only logical location. I was advised, when delivered, the fridge is recommended to stay at the manufacturer setting of 37 degrees which is where it remains. However, when I put 2 thermometers inside both read 34/35 and since my lettuce, tomatoes, milk and several other items have partially frozen or become icy, I would have to say the 37degree setting is wrong & my thermometers correct. The door storage bins are also limited, and it wasn’t realized until after the fact. Because the bins are only as wide as the door, they’re smaller in size requiring similar food items in bottles, jars, cans, etc. be put in a 2nd bin. As for the freezer I initially wanted a bottom drawer style, because when opened the cold air stays inside much more than an upright freezer door, due to the cold air literally 'falling out' when the door is opened. Sadly, the ice bucket takes up 1/2 of the upper interior freezer drawer/bin so a lot of valuable space is lost. Possibly a smaller basket could replace it, but unknown if that’s something the company would consider from a selling point or design factor. The interior freezer top sliding bin (that holds the ice basket) does not fully extend and is stopped mid-way when the freezer door is pulled opened. There's a stop on the slide and you can only access the front 1/3 portion of that drawer because the top double doors are blocking it, due to their thickness, which is yet another design flaw. To reach further back, both refrigerator doors must be opened and then it requires pulling out the interior sliding freezer compartment then and lift-up and over the blockage on the rail. An imperfect design that can't be seen when viewing online which is why I'm not sure why the large drawer would have a channel for wheels when it's not fully useable. The lower part of the freezer also has difficulty using. Because it's a slide out, door/drawer, the only option is to store food on top of other food. To make for easier access I found basket organization is a must. It allows you to lift the top basket, rather than rummaging thru, so you can access what's underneath. Since a refrigerator is a large investment and something not purchased often, and I wasn’t able to return, I must make the best of it. Overall, it appears I got caught up in the idea of a 'French door' design and the exterior 'look', rather than selecting something more user friendly. I previously had a (2) two door top freezer, the same cubic space, but with more useable space. If I could go back, I'd definitely get a 2 door top freezer model, for just that reason. I've learned that the same cubic space in one style is DEFINITELY NOT the same in another style IE: 2 door top freezer vs side by side vs French door. I recommend taking time and be realistic when making such a large financial investment and worry less about aesthetics.

Easily accessible drawers. Very good lighting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have limited space for getting a larger unit in our home and this fit perfectly and increased our usage by about 4 additional cubic feet. Has mad a big difference and a much improved appearing product.

Lots of space

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are thrilled with this beautiful and affordable refrigerator. Even though its measurements fit in our small space, it has tons of room. The stainless steal front looks clean and adds a modern look to our kitchen. We love the fact that if you leave the door(s) open a little alarm sounds. This is a nice feature considering we have a 5 year old who likes to leave every door open. We are very happy with our purchase!

Disappointed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The condenser didn’t last 2 full years. It took them forever to replace it. The repair company LG uses kept canceling my appointment 2 hrs they were due to shop up. I’m beyond frustrated and disappointed. Don’t recommend it to anyone.

love the look and the functionality

When we saw this LG French door refrigerator at the Home Depot we decided on the spot that this was exactly what we wanted in order to replace our aging refrigerator. It is sleek looking on the outside but the layout of the inside is wonderfully functional. Thank you, LG.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this fridge. I have a small house and it was so nice to find an upscale fridge that would fit into my small space. The interior has so much space. Thank you LG for making a really great fridge for small places.

Beautiful spacious fridge!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased this LG fridge and love it. It seems like I have so much room. I love the pull out drawers on the bottom for the freezer and the double french doors hold a lot! I haven't yet adjusted my shelves to see how a 2 liter or gallon of milk fits, so I can't speak on that just yet. It is a beautiful color and looks great in my kitchen. Really makes it look classy!
