Really a 4.9 for one reason.
The only down side is that the 30” wide is not entirely accurate. You need 31.5” if the fridge is going into a corner, to allow the doors to fully open, which you need to pull the bottom drawer out. So right now my LG fridge sticks 5” further into the kitchen than intended. In every other way it's been a tremendous improvement. All of the upper shelves are adjustable, even removable, if you need room for a lot of tall items.

Perfect fit
I've had this LG refrigerator for 3 years.. it fits my smaller space perfectly and has been performing as it should. It is very compact and holds plenty of food for me, although it may be too small for a family. The ice maker works well, love the slide-out fruit drawer at the bottom, and I like that it softly chimes if a door is left ajar. Its only shortcoming is that taller bottles don't fit into the body space. but they do fit on either side door. It is sleek and the finish looks great. Very happy with my LG!

Nice unit, BUT noisy periodically
Overall I like the refrigerator, but there's a 'banging' noise periodically that can take several minutes to get rid of. I had an LG repair person out, said if I wanted the compressor replaced he could do that but he'd have to order it, and by 'leveling' the from legs, that should take care of it. But it didn't. Not sure how to get soemone out here again or if it would do any good. But it looks good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice product, however shelves needed too be spaced another inch to two inches in hight so a gallon off milk or anything 64ounces in hight can fit without offsetting shelves. Also maybe 2 inches wider so that either crispers can be pulled out with just one door open.

Disappointed
1) Only saw the 'energy star' rating after I unpacked the owners manual after delivery. Very disappointing. 2) The doors have to be full of items otherwise everything slams back and forth when closing a door. 3) Freezer is very hard to find items in, maybe having several variously sized specifically designed baskets in the freezer compartment could help find items quickly. 4) The interior compartment feels like I'm reaching deep into a cave to retrieve items I need. I will never get a french door refrigerator again. The jury is still out of the bottom freezer, everything I've ever heard about them suggested they deliver cold air in an efficient manner. Yet this refrigerator is way less energy efficient tha any I've owned since the 1990's. If it wasn't so much work to swap out for a different new refrigerator I would have returned this one with 3 days. Thank you for asking.
Pretty okay appliance.
Spacious refrigerator with plenty of options for organization. Product worked fine for about 4 years. After that, the ice maker started to leak so it formed one giant block of ice in the tray. About a year later, it stopped cooling entirely. We took it to the landfill and purchased a Frigidaire brand.

The fall of LG fridges in America
The refrigerator compressor went bad after only 4 years. Otherwise we were happy with it. Compressors should last the life of the fridge. Many fridges from the 1980s are still running. If a fridge has updated features, then the compressor should be able to compensate for that. If not, come up with new technology. As a multi-million dollar company, that should be possible.

the icemaker makes frozen chunks
I am now on my third icemaker. You replaced the first one under warranty. I just had to replace the second one at my expense. Both times it was the same problem: big masses of ice cubes all stuck together. There is clearly a design problem. My water pressure is fine--60psi. It's well within the limits of the required pressure for this refrigerator.

Wouldn't recommend their fridges
LG has a lot of great product lines it seems. Their fridges do not fall under that category. I own some rental properties and have 3 LG fridges. All of them have had issues. Their support is misleading and a total struggle.

Did know it didn't have a filter for ice maker now I need to find one for it and pay to install it
