Even though it’s bigger than our previous LG - 19.7 cu. ft. bottom freezer refrigerator, the space isn’t utilized very well. Only way for tall soda bottles to fit was to remove a shelf and we could do without the slide out compartment as it takes away from shelf space. Even with removing the icemaker, we could not fit all the freezer items from our old refrigerator into the new one. We ended up buying an upright freezer for the overflow items which isn’t a bad thing since the wife can’t say “we have no freezer space” anymore.

We were limited by space and had to have a fridge that was no taller than 68" - which severely limited our choices. However, based on the reviews we had read we decided to go with the LG. I'm very pleased. Most of the negative reviews I had seen indicated a problem with relocating the shelves. As long as both doors are opened, I have had no problem. I have plenty of room - am having to rearrange periodically to get things "just right" but that's just personal preference. I like the lower freezer - much more convenient. The only noise I ever hear is the sound of the ice maker dropping the new ice. Would have liked to have a through the door ice dispenser - but due to my size limitations that was precluded unless I wanted to go with a side by side (which I didn't). All in all we are pleased.

Sometimes, I will go into the kitchen and just look it over, inside and out, like I never saw it before! I normally don't grocery shop...my husband does. But I have made 2 grocery store trips, just so I can put the food in it!

Have had this for about 6 years. Unfortunately 2 years ago the freezer stopped working so we just used it as a back up refrigerator. The entire refrigerator just stopped working all together. Should have lasted longer. Junk! Did have all LG products but moving away from them as nothing seems to last very long.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator on August 2, 2023. Since then, I've been without an ice-maker for almost 6 months. In January the ice maker froze. A month later a new ice maker motor was installed. It worked until July 31st and now (August 31st), I still do not have an ice maker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love everything about this refrigerator, except for the shelves, as noted in some of the other reviews. We had to give up one shelf on one the doors to be able to have 1/2 gallon milk cartons and 2 liters or juice containers stand upright. From a non-Engineer user's perspective, having even 1/4"-1/2" more height between where you can place the interior shelves in the fridge, would greatly enhance the space usability. Lowering the height in the bottom freezer by that tiny smidge, would still give plenty of freezer space. Other than that, it's been great.

It keeps food cold. That's the best I can say about it. The double door design on top loses a lot of storage space. The clear plastic covers on the front of the shelves do not attach very securely, and are prone to falling off, causing food to fall on the floor when you open the door. The freezer portion is very poorly designed, allowing little viewing of the food. The top freezer shelf pulls out automatically, blocking a large portion of the bottom drawer from being viewed. Overall, I'm disappointed in this refrigerator.

But after doing a first hand comparison (apples to apples), LG was by far the superior product, in design, quality, and convenience. Furthermore, in an age where warranties are almost non-existent, LG demonstrates their pride and confidence in their product with a warranty like no other manufacturer on the market. Finally, after using this refrigerator for a month, I can honestly say it exceeds all of my expectations. In my opinion it rates a "10" and a " Attaboy".

I bought this refrigerator 3 years ago and it stopped cooling my food. The compressor still turns on but nothing blows into the fridge or freezer. I am heartbroken cause this fridge was so highly recommended and now it is just collecting dust in the kitchen while we have been scrambling to keep our food in coolers and lost most of our food. I am a new mom and I lost all of my pumped milk too. I will never buy a LG ever again.
