Excellent Telescope

This telescope is AMAZING! Box design is perfect for gifting. Set up was easy. My husband and I tested it before showing the kids and it works extremely well. Adjusting is slick. We live on the outskirts of town so it was nice to be able to see so many stars! This will give you hours of fun each time you use it.

Perfect for beginners

Great for beginners/kids. Comes with a carrying case which makes a big difference especially when storing it. The cost is appropriate. My kids 11/15 were able to put it together and figure out how to use it with out help. They have enjoyed looking at stars and learning about the solar system in general.

Good Telescope for Beginners

This is a nice entry level telescope. We used it to look at the moon and could see a good amount of detail and craters. We also used it during the day to look across the lake at a bald eagle approx 1/2 mile away. There is a built in cell phone holder to capture photos, but we just took a quick photo of the eagle on his perch by hovering the phone camera over the lens. By the time I set my phone in the holder, the eagle was gone--though it is a nice addition to have and I definitely plan to use it in the future. The tripod stand is a little flimsy, but gets the job done. We're looking forward to using this telescope in 2024 for the total eclipse!

Good entry level telescope

Definitely not a professional telescope but for entertainment purposes it’s great choice. To start with it’s a little difficult to focus and even more difficult to focus with your phone. Material is All plastic and the lenses are not strong quality. This could be a good entry level telescope.

Cute and easy telescope for all ages!

Super cute and easy telescope! My husband and 4 year old daughter loves exploring their surroundings with this! It was extremely quick and easy to set up and take down which is always a plus. Not too expensive to stress over when allowing your kids to explore with it. My daughter who is four had an easy time looking out and looking at nature and into the sky. Such a great activity for your littles and the rest of your family!

This is a great gift.

This telescope exceeded my expectations. The quality is exceptional. It comes in a storage bag so taking it with you or just keeping it all together to so easy. It was easy to put together and get ready to use. I used this to look at stars and it was amazing. My son will love this. He is getting it for Christmas and I'm sure he will be as excited as I was using it and getting to see the moon and stars better.

OKayish telescope but get binnoculars or spotscope

If you ever plan on buying a nice telescope, I highly recomend you look somewhere else. Depending on how good you are in terms of viewing, this will give you a somewhat BELOW average viewpoint. Everyone is getting ready for the Solar eclipse but if you plan on taking photos, I highly recomend getting one with better reviews. FOr some reason there are moments where the telescope feels like it has a bit of milkish texture and required an aircan to clean it out... IT did gave a clearer view but again had some issues with the viewing I Also tried to buy Adapters to mount onto the scope to take pictures but again it is more difficult and hard to adjust the viewing angle. If any case the only positive note about this product is that it does come with is: - A travel case - 10mm for those fine details - 20mm for those wide details - Solar filter which fits nicely... I Already plan to buy alternative eye pieces to see if it's just the eye pieces that is giving a bad mark but chances are very slim.

Save pics to cell!

A really great telescope! We love using it to see planets and stars! Our kids enjoy having this at home as well. Captures the moon and deep stars with great clarity. We also love that you can attach your cell to it and we can save the pictures to our cell! So awesome!

Amazing telescope!

I received the National Geographic 70MM Refracting Telescope with Case. This is a fantastic device for viewing stars at night and nature around us in the daytime. There are two different magnifiers in this great device. It can be tilted in various directions to catch the object easily and conveniently. There is a good telescopic tripod that can be easily folded. It is great that this telescope can be put into a small bag and carried very conveniently anywhere with you. This device can be assembled very fast and easily when needed. All-in-all, this a very good device for the entire family!

Just... don't...

Just walk away from it right now. I bought it today. There are absolutely no instructions... I know you're thinking "how hard can it be to put it together?" I thought so too. It it difficult to figure out what goes where, how to adjust it to even be able to see out of it, and the tripod is just alright.
