A real time saver
We have a busy household. We do not take our shoes off at the door. Nor do we clean on a regular basis (the floors). This vacuum is EXTREMELY helpful to us. We have a 2300 square foot house, all hard floor. We can confine her to one room and she will let you know when the job is finished. Then we move her to another room. We have not yet purchased laser barriers to block a particular area of glass door slider tracks where she often gets stuck but for now we just avoid her cleaning that room by blocking that room with our own barriers like stools or chairs. She allows us to save so much time so we can do other things. And the floor feels much nicer to walk on rather than constantly stepping on sand or dirt (we are near the beach).
It's handy
This vacuum robot is very useful as I can do other things rather than vacuuming. It is most effective if you run it everyday, but it does not entirely replace a regular vacuum. That being said, I do need to move chairs, plants, stuff on floor if I want a thorough job. It only covers approx 1000sq ft of rooms and I have to clean the bin 2x. I would never run it when I'm not home, sometimes it gets stuck. It also will leave pet hair/debris when transitioning from a wood floor to a rug. It won't do corners. It doesn't pick up sand very well. I Am looking at the Roomba i7+ for a Lake House setting.
I was skeptical
My husband bought me my Roomba as a Christmas gift. I almost returned it. He insisted I try it, I thought there was no way it could keep the floors clean and boy was I wrong. I use it twice a week for about 2 hours and it is amazing. Just goes to show how far out dated regular vacuums are. This Roomba gets all the dust, dirt and pet hair up. I am amazed and will be a customer for life!
DO NOT BUY!
We were so excited to get the iRobot 692. We have had it now for about two months. It is the worst robot vacuum ever! Customer service is just as bad. They did not really listen to my problem and just sent out an invisible wall to shut me up! Worst part is it did not help. When we turn it on will start to vacuum, as soon as it transitions from hard surface to carpet it says error 6 stuck on a cliff. When it gets close to our cat tree it stops and says error 6 stuck on a cliff. Then it will get stuck just going in circles in a corner for over 20 minutes hitting the walls. We have to go get it out of the corner. We pull the chairs out from the kitchen table and it still gets stuck slamming into the chair legs. Again we have to go get it out. When you tell it to go home it takes over 10 to 15 minutes to find "home" and it rides up on the the charger and starts to turn back and fourth and then it gets stuck in the power cord for the charger! We have cleaned the sensors as directed by the Customer Service Rep and still the same problems. I told the Agent all of the above and they sent me and invisible wall module. How does that help? HORRIBLE ! REALLY DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL! waste of money!

Obsessed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised with the Roomba 675. My apartment is large, has multiple rooms with sharp corners that are both wood and carpeted rooms. The roomba navigated my apartment with ease. I was surprised with how well the Roomba is at cleaning pet hair. As a dog mom, I vacuum all the time, so this is very helpful to make sure my apartment stays as fur free as possible. I am a crazy dog mom, so I posted a funny video of my Chocolate lab and the Roomba meeting for the first time. I posted this on my dogs Instagram account (haha) and iRobot both commented on his video and sent a direct message! So that was pretty awesome. Attached is the comment from iRobot! Ovedall, pleasantly surprised with the Roomba 675!
Amazing customer service
My roomba was running but not working properly. The two different customer service reps I spoke with were very friendly and attempted to assist the best they could. The first rep sent me new wheels to see if that would work. When it didn't, the second rep had me send my roomba in since it was under warranty. When it couldn't be fixed you all sent me a new roomba that was completely unexpected. That is customer service at its finest and I will use and recommend your company!
Welcome to the Family
Rosie arrived as a Christmas gift. She happily settled in and started cleaning. At first, she was joyful - but one day she got stuck under the futon sofa and began spinning in distress. Rosie scratched her shiny new top deeply and she was saddened. She asked me to buy her a new faceplate, but alas iRobot doesn't seem to sell that part. A couple of days later she tried to commit suicide by knocking over a small plant stand with a bonsai tree. I heard a large crash and went to see what is was. Luckily I was just in time to save Rosie as she headed for the puddle of water and mud. All is not lost, I found a skin for the top and wrapped the base of the sofas and aquarium stand in pool noodles to keep her from trouble. Seriously, this is an awesome little vacuum, my floors look amazing, and someday I may buy one of the models that have a mapping function to keep it safe from harm.
Cleans, but not smart enough to return home.
Very easy set up. Begins a clean cycle every day. It picks up a good amount of dust and hair all over, including under furniture and along baseboards. However, out of 10 cycles, it fails to return to dock 9 times. If you like treasure hunts, it is great! We have to go find it every day. I gave it a star because it does clean pretty well.
Fairly Efficient
Hazel cleans really well as whole, but takes a LONG time to clean the kitchen and dining/living room. She also tends to go over some areas over and over, but only hits other areas once. Finally, Hazel needs wide open spaces. She gets stuck under some furniture (rams into rocker/recliner hard enough to get under but then gets trapped) and stuck between dining room table and chairs (gets in with ease but can't reverse path out).
Hello! Thank you for your review! We want you to love your robot, and we understand the cleaning expectations that you have for the Roomba 675. The Roomba 675 was designed using all the best abilities of our 600 series, which is great for directed cleaning. What may appear to be random is actually Roomba's intelligent Dirt Detect technology going directly to where the dirt is. Roomba will attempt to clean the directed area for up to 90 minutes (on hard surfaces). After a few clean missions Roomba will establish a baseline of clean, register fewer Dirt Detect events, and clean more areas on a single charge. For more information on the Roomba 675 or if you require further assistance, please reach out to our team at 1-877-855-8593. Thank you! -Sincerely, iRobot Customer Care
Okay Cleaning Tool, Not Perfect
I have used this robot several times and it has only returned to the home base on its own one time. It is usually heading home but gets stuck and the battery runs out before it arrives to the charging base. The last time it got stuck on the edge of a cliff (the top of the stairs) and I had to carry it back to the base. Otherwise, it seems to clean my hardwood floors pretty well. I was surprised how loud this unit is. I only use it on hardwoods, so I assume it would be a little quieter on carpet. I use it on my upstairs hardwood floors in three bedrooms, a bathroom and hallway. Since it is so loud, I start it before I leave the house. I know it has cleaned all of the spaces when it returns to the home base. When it gets stuck in the legs of a nightstand or on the edge of a cliff, I have no idea when that occurred during the cycle. Did it get to all the rooms or not? The unit is easy to maintain and I can control it on my phone. It recharges fairly rapidly and has run for close to two hours when fully charged. It's a fun thing to run, but I am puzzled as to why technology that has been around for 20+ years still has these minor issues.
