Cleans pretty well but bumps into everything. Other models I have seen have sensors that allow them to move around objects this one just bounces off like a bumper car. Guess that's why it was on sale.

Room a has worked without fail since purchasing last month. We use it on hardwood floors daily and the robot does a good job of keeping the floors clean. Great value for the price!

My husband got me the 692 Roomba for an early Christmas present since it was on sale for 175.00. I vacuumed and mopped my floors before I ran the Roomba because I wanted to just see how good it worked. Let me tell you I was totally shocked at the amount this thing picked up. Does really good on carpets too and I have a thick carpet. It does like to roam over the same areas a lot but that's fine with me, it eventually does the full room. Just can't believe it. Best purchase I have made!!!

I named it Ringo. At 89 it is a big help to me. I'm still "training" it with my phone. It cleans carpeting and hard floors really good. I sit, and it works. It parked itself yesterday on the floor fan base. So, Ringo has to work on that. It was so proud of itself...parking. I remained calm and gently moved him over to his real parking spot. Loving it so far.

My experience is that this robot will not return to dock station to recharge 4 out of 5 times. It allows the battery to die before docking. Then you have to go find it in your home and carry it back to the dock station for recharging. I complained to the mfg so much they sent a replacement. The replacement is just as bad. Avoid this product !!!

I received this as a Christmas gift. What Irobot does not tell you as the product can't be updated unless you have the app on a smartphone or tablet. Worse, the app does not tell you what it is doing so all you get is that the Roomba is connecting to your network but you have no idea whether it is doing anything or not. After 10 minutes, it just kept showing the same screen. So I have no idea what revision it is or whether it needed to or actually did update itself to the latest revision. Tech no-support was useless.They couldn't even tell me why, when logging in, I would go to some useless page that just said "error" with no explanation even though I had successfully logged in. If they don't know why their site is not working right or have to get help from others as to avoid using the app to update the device, how are they going to help you with difficult questions? As to the Roomba itself, for those hard of hearing, the voice sounds garbled so you have no idea what it is telling you and since the app doesn't do anything, you can't see what the Roomba told you. It does run around the room but can't climb on some rugs, gets stuck for no apparent reason and needs to be moved at times. It gets under some furniture without a problem but then can't get out because it is too high even though it went in without a problem. It repeatedly goes over some areas but totally ignores others. It sometimes can't even get on it's base even on a flat floor. The base can't be under anything even if the object is a foot off the floor so it has to sit out in the open where someone can trip on it or on its cord. When it bumps into walls or other objects, it should remember that but it doesn't so a few minutes later, it is back bumping into that same place over and over. All in all, it makes a good, but high priced, conversation piece where humans can discuss the stupidity of robots and robot manufacturers and why we stupid humans, to avoid a five minute vacuuming job, will spend all day trying to make a dumb poorly designed robot do the same work in an hour.

I The unit doesn’t hold a lot of dirt and would go for a little bit and then stop, with an error message. I would clean the rollers and a little bit later, same issue. Needless to say, but I returned the unit to Sams. Too much money for something that doesn’t do as it is supposed to.

The Roomba cleans extremely well. However, most of the time it has trouble finding home after it's finished vacuuming. If it's in another room, it can't find home at all. I have to pick it up and face it toward it's station. I never run it unless I'm home. It sometimes gets stuck under certain chairs in my house. At first I didn't think I like it, but I changed my mind after a week. I love that it vacuums while I'm doing other things.

I am enjoying getting our house cleaned while I am working on other tasks around the house. This little machine does a great job of cleaning. I would never trust it to clean when I wasn't home to supervise though, because it does get caught up on a few areas and more importantly, it can never find home to recharge. If I go outside for awhile I have to search to find it if it dies during a cleaning job. Also, it has yet to develop any kind of routine for cleaning. It wanders around for a couple of hours. Eventually it gets almost everywhere it is supposed to, but I have no idea how it determines where to go.

the app does nothing, I downloaded the only app with the roomba logo and all I can do on it is connect to the roomba but there is nothing on the app to schedule cleaning or anything else for that matter. not happy with the purchase, I won't be buying another one.
