Softener salt w/iron reducer is an effective and reliable product. We've used for over 20 years, occasionally trying other alternatives, but always returning.

Great water softener. We had rest in our pipes. I no longer live there anymore, but I still recommend this for people that could smell rust in their water

Helps the water softener remove most of the rust but not all. Little pricey at almost $10 a bag. The water would be a lot worse without using this salt.

Have to have it for my softener or I would never ever buy any of this crap. It makes a huge mess in the house, basement %26 everywhere I set the bag. But runs great in my softener.
