Now, these are nice tires!

I've got a 2003 BMW Performance ZHP 330i with factory staggered 18" wheels, and I've been running the Michelin A/S2 tires. Since I can't rotate them, I'll run 2 sets on the rear to 1 set on the front. I was very pleased with these tires and have a video of me driving through 10" of new snow with the front scoop pushing snow over the hood! Only a 2-wheel drive car! Now, I've just bought a set of AS3 tires, and I really like them. They seem quieter than the AS2s and handle just amazing. And for a low-profile tire (255/35-18) they are very comfortable riding. My goal is to have 1 set of tires that I can run in all 4 seasons, here in Colorado. The AS3s are going to fit that bill nicely. So far, I've only been able to test them on dry interstate, and hardpack snow/ice on side roads. Amazing traction! There really is no reason to run dedicated snow tires as these will take me through anything my car can reasonable drive through. A good test of all driving conditions is from I-70, then Hwy40 to Winter Park, which takes you through many switchbacks, over Berthoud Pass. Patchy ice/snow and dry roads, sharp corners, and downhill braking test all the capabilities of these new AS3s. They really do work that well! Thanks, Michelin!

Would recommend this tire

I'm on the road constantly Highway and city driving as well winter driving and been very happy with these tires. Sudden stops and turning at the same time the tire proved it could handle the task. Not too much negative to say except like any tire you'd wish they last forever. Thanks Michelin

Not as good as summer tires

When I switched from my OEM Michelin RTF to A/S tires, i was expecting smoother, quiter ride. However, overall quality of ride was not as good as the original tires. It was very noisy as well. Had trouble getting replacements within 30 days because of staggered wheel sizes on my BMW sports package and summer tires were out of production. I do not recommend these tires if you have a BMW 3 series with sports package. Heard good review about pilot sport summer tires.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 - Highly Recommend

When deciding on which tires to recently purchase in May 2015, I almost listened to chatter about these tires being noisy. So glad I did not listen and went with my decades of experience owning Michelins. I really do not understand the noise complaints? After six weeks of driving on these tires, I find them quite smooth and quiet. I feel most confident, safe and love the handling. I can only surmise something else was going on with the vehicles of those complaining about noise. I put these on a Roaster Convertible where my head/ear is close to the rear tire; absolutely no noise from tires with top up or down. Highly Recommend!

An Exceptional Choice!!!!

I just recently purchased a 2004 BMW 330Ci and the tires are one of the first things I always replace. It's been only a month since the replacement, so not much I can really say except, immediately I noticed a quieter ride, little to no road noise inside the car. The handling is nice but I haven't really stress tested the tires because of the short amount of time I have owned the tires, thus the 4-Star rating, which I'm sure will be upgraded once I've had more time with the tires. I have always preferred Michelin tires for all my cars since 1988 and it seems this tradition will continue.

A/S 3: A true allseason performance tire

I have a 2014 MINI Roadster S. I have been driving since 1962 and autocrossing with success since 1995. I have driven on extreme performance tires, r-compound tires, and racing slicks, both dry and wet. Yesterday I brought home a set of 205/50-16 A/S 3's in the rain. Today it rained harder and I found the standing water puddle on my most driven back road. I heard the right front tire violently cutting through the water at 60 mph but it didn't even tug on the tire nor slow the car as that friendly puddle has always done before. The steering is light. Partly due to 10.5mm of tread and partly due to surprisingly low rolling resistance. Turn in is immediate. Well, surely there must be an actual delay but it is too small for me to perceive. Grip is somewhere well beyond the level I am willing to risk on a public road. They simply track no matter how fast I dare corner with them at gendarme and bad karma attracting speeds. For reference, the car on OEM tires understeered if I tried to have much of any fun cornering. That is, the tires lost grip and the car ran wide which is especially unnerving in a right hand turn with oncoming traffic. These are serious performance tires oh so well suited to a MINI driven in all weathers except snow blizzards and subzero temperatures.

First impressions

First Impressions. Just purchased 4 Pilot A/S 3's for my '06 Corvette, Immediately noticed the harshness of the ride was gone, how much more quite the interior was. True I only drove 50 miles on county roads and no interstates. Will see how things go in a couple of thousand miles.

Not up to par

I own a 2009 Bullitt Mustang and enjoy a spirited drive... read I do NOT thrash the car around. I purchased 4 new tires. For tires that claim to be "Ultra High Performance" in my opinion they are not even close. They feel like 6 year old tires. I wish I had more driving time within the first 30 days to return them. I did not... now I am stuck with them. If I had the money I would replace them now. For this car these tires do not live up to their name. Very disappointed.

Awesome!!!

Michelin has always been in the family and seeing how they came up with the Pilot Sport A/S 3's just made it better to stay with Michelin tires. I switched my RFT and I'm going on a couple of thousand miles now. So far the ride is 100 times better! I have a luxury car and I went from feeling like I was off roading to having a nice smooth ride. Curse those RFT! Luckily, my old RFT came with the car and I didn't spend twice I would of if I did get the RFT again. We do a lot of driving since family is far and coming home the ride is so smooth that when my family is asleep they don't even notice all the bumps and road noise. The new A/S 3s are a better ride, the handling is great, the road noise is not an issue anymore and I do save more gas than I did before. The look of the tires are great and the feel is what I was looking for. Overall, I would put the A/S 3s again once I'm up for new tires again unless they come up with A/S 4s which would be great. Thanks Michelin team! Keep up the good work! I love the new tires!

Wow!

Replaced P-Zero P255/40ZR19s on a 2012 supercharged 3.0 Audi A6 with sports package. Much quieter and softer riding tire. Noise at 70mph measured 79dB with the P-Zero vs. 70dB with the Pilot Sport A/S 3. Wet traction is VERY impressive. Concerns over changing from a summer performance tire to M+S tire, were pleasantly surprising; this tire turns in very crisply with linear response. In all a great tire.
