Excellent Tires

I've been using different brand of Tires on my 2011 Shelby GT500 and those were my third set. Those Tires were making annoying humming noise, and the ride was really rough even Ford mechanic thought there was a bearing issue with the car, but once I consulted another mechanic, he said the Tires were the issue. So I decided to go for Michelin's A/S Tires (19" for front - 20"s for the back) and I immediately noticed that the noise was completely gone and the ride is definitely improved. What I like also about those Michelin Tires is the 45,000 miles warranty comparing to the other brand of 20,000 miles warranty. Really, they are amazing Tires and I recommend them to anyone driving a Muscle car. GREAT Tires... Thank you

AWESOME TIRES ON CIVIC SI !!!

Ditched the factory Michelin HX MXM4 tires after only 36k due to wear and dry rot. New Pilot Sport AS 3 tires are just AWESOME. Tremendous grip dry and in rain. Smooth and quiet. Really made the wife's Civic SI feel like a go cart. Hope to get 40k + miles on these tires. Almost went with Pilot Super Sports for ultimate grip and ride but the wife wanted all season tires even though this car gets stored during winter.

Pilot Sport A/S 3 on Volvo V50 T5

I have much all weather experience driving in Maryland and I am not an aggressive driver but I do like the feel of a sportier tire and do like to throw the car through turns for fun. I previously had two sets of Conti DWS. The DWS do everything pretty well including snow. But, they offer little excitement. I didn't realize this until I got the Michelin Sport A/S 3. The A/S 3 is a very responsive tire than handles incredibly well in dry or wet. The only down side to the tires that I have found is snow traction where they fell short. My A/S 3's are well into the wear indicators and still handle great even in wet. A/S 3+ here I come!

Worn out way too quickly

When I went to have the tires installed for the summer the tire center told me they were worn out and wouldn't install them on the car. There is approximately 25,000 km on the tires as I only use them for two seasons and my Michelin winter tires are wearing fine with about same kms. I asked if there was any warranty and they said it was a mechanical issue with car and not a tire issue. I checked my maintenance records and I had alignment prior to installing them so I don't believe a mechanical issue. Very disappointed as I am (was?) a Michelin tire guy.

Won't Last to Mileage Estimate

Bought Michilin Pilot Sport AS+ May 2012 with 45,000 mile warranty (235/50ZR18). Have driven 35,500 miles and purchse retailer now says I need new tires. Driving is around suburbs with no long road-trips and the car has been into purchase retailer 7 times for rotate/balance/align as required. Warranty appears to be much less than was represented by sales retailer at time of purchase. Product has lasted 21% less than the expected miles and yet the customer satisfaction credit is only11% of the purchase price of the new tires or 9% of the original tire price (sales retailer is recommending Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3 235/50R18 for my current replacement). I liked the way the car drove with these tires. Especially happy with snow performance as they handled well. But I am upset that the verbal warranty explanation was so much better on the sales end than the reality on the other side. It seems to me that the customer satisfaction discount on the new tires should be double what it is.

They only lasted 12,000 miles

I really can't believe I am writing this review. I have purchased Michelin's for decades with one thing in mind, the highest level of quality. My OEM Summer tires lasted 31,000 miles. I went with the All Season equivalent in the Michelin believing they would last a lot longer. I was floored when I had the car in for a brake inspection and they told me the tires were almost worn out. I have only driven them 11,500 miles. I can't believe this is normal for Michelin's. When I went to look them up to understand the tread-wear expectations I noticed they have updated them to a PLUS version. Hope it wears better.

Pilot Sport A/S 3 tread wear

I am a traveling sales rep with most miles being freeway highway miles. I was very disappointed in this tire. I have less than 22 miles on my tires, and my treads are worn and it has been suggested by my car servicing station that I frequent often as well as tire retail shop where I purchased, that my tires are worn, and need to be replaced. I am extremely disappointed and have expectations that Michelin should review and assist with replacement, warranty was 45,000 miles and I would think when frequenting mainly freeways I may even receive more. I ask that Michelin work with me and contact me on this issue.

Don Not Like These Tires

At 60 to 61 miles per hour and then again at 67 to 69 miles per hour the tires make an annoying vibration/buzz/hum. The tires are not out of ballance and they roll smoothly but the vibration persists. Very disapointed in these tires; purchases one month ago.

Terrible

I totally agree, 3 season tire. VERY scary in even the lightest snow. Wet and dry weather is great...go figure. These tires inspire so much confidence in wet and dry that they caught me off guard when it started to snow. This is totally a stiff UHP summer tire that actually works great in very cold weather as long as you don't get any snow. Too early to tell how they wear etc. All I buy is Michelin tires so this is a huge let down for me. I need MORE brand new tires now and another set of rims. :(

I had high expectations for this tire.

After many years of owning several sets of the A/S Plus version of this tire, I had high hopes for the A/S 3 when it was announced. I got 53k miles out of my A/S Plus in 245/40-19 front and 275/35-19 rear which is incredible mileage. I drive conservatively (I'm back on my stock sizes of 225/50-18 and 245/45-18) and have only managed to get 13k miles out of the A/S 3's in the rear. I have alignments done regularly and the wear is even. The fronts look nearly new and I don't track my car either. The tire is great in traction and has a nice ride assuming it will last. I had longer life out of the Pilot Sport summer tire on my previous vehicle. This is an otherwise phenomenal tire but the lack of longevity kills it for me on the all season rating. I would expect this from a summer tire but against the backdrop of my experience with the A/S Plus, the very short lifespan is disappointing to say the least.
