I’ve been generally pleased with the performance of these tires—they handle well in both wet and dry conditions, provide a quiet and comfortable ride, and inspire confidence on the road. However, I was disappointed with the tread life. Despite careful and consistent driving, my set needed replacement at around 37,000 miles, well short of the advertised 60,000-mile expectation. Since these came as OEM equipment on my vehicle, there was unfortunately no warranty support available. Overall, great performance, but potential buyers should be aware of the faster-than-expected tread wear.

This is the 3rd set of this set of tires that I have purchased for this truck. All of them have given me more miles that the warranty will cover and the handling and comfort have always been top notch. I originally purchased them because i was told the noise was very low. This has been true, I hear very little road noise. That’s saying a lot because this truck has been driven across the country 3 times.

Tires are very quiet and smooth running. Any increase or decrease in mileage is yet to be determined. I bought these for extra load rating for towing a 5th wheel trailer. I am at this time experiencing death wobble and I am hoping the tires are not a contributing factor as I only have 19,000 miles on the truck.

I have owned my Tahoe since 2007. When the original Tires needed replaced, I switched to the defender LTX M/S 275/55/20 tires. After switching to the Michelin, tires, I have never used a different brand or style since replacing the original tires.I have over 350,000 miles on this vehicle. I find the ride, handling, performance and comfort to be unmatched!. I have switched all of my vehicles to the Michelin brand tires. They handled the Florida weather with ease. And I find a perform just as well when I travel north. I also purchased a lifetime alignment program and have the tires rotated every 5000 miles. Combining proper maintenance with superior quality makes the 80,000 mile life expectancy of the tires A conservative estimate.

They seem like they will be very durable long-term and I would definitely recommend them to anybody looking for tires, as they seem perfect.

I've been buying Michelin tires for as long as I can remember. Always had good luck with them. But this new Defender LTX m/s2 Tire is so hard and it creates a rumble/road whine in my truck, especially on Country Blacktop roads. I got a 2024 truck that I'm really proud of but these tires are probably the worst michelins I've ever owned. The dealer said I can swap them but in my size 275-60-20 there's nothing to choose from but a more aggressive tire( no way). I'm hesitant to switch brands but I may have to do that at a dear cost to my pocketbook. ( Dealer has said he would swap tires out for another Michelin but they dont make my size in less aggressive tires as they have really pulled back on choices).Shame on you Michelin for leaving this tire size absent on your other popular quiet tires and making such a hard tire just to get higher lingevity ratings!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased a new to me 2020 Toyota Tundra and was wanting to put new tires on it so went with the Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2. Now I live in Texas and have had them for about 6 weeks of up and down weather. From 80 degrees and windy/rain to near zero driving in snow. These have held up tremendously in all of these weather conditions. The traction these get is superb and makes for a smooth ride. Ride noise is minimal if that is a priority for you. Turning corners in them is also great. Overall these are tires I highly recommend!

The Defender LTX M/S2 tire has gotten me across the country, literally. It flawlessly handles snow, rain, mud, sand, gravel, asphalt, and everything in between, without compromising the quality and comfort of the ride. The noise is nonexistent in the cab of the SUV, even at high speeds.

This is a nice truck tire, but it is a truck tire. I can feel every bump and seam on the highway. It's noisy and unrefined, so I suppose this is a truck tire. I puchased a set for a 2018 Lincoln Navigator and the tires removed the luxury aspect of the vehicle. Thanks to Michelin's ride satisfaction promise, I was able to exchange the Defender LTX M/S2 for a set of CrossClimate2 SUV tires. The ride quality and noise is like night and day. Moving from a Highway All-Season (LTX) to a Grand Touring AS (CrossClimate) was the answer. I would not buy the LTX again for a luxury vehicle.

I felt safe driving in the rain and ice and below freezing cold temperatures. The Michelin - Defender® LTX M/S2 tires are not just your run of the mill tires, they are built to last and to keep you and your family safe! The tread is thick and built to withstand whatever conditions you may encounter. I absolutely love these tires and I tell everyone they should get them for themselves if they want dependable and durable tires!!
