Lettuce is a staple if you love salads and sandwiches. This is green and crisp. Put it in foil in the fridge and it keeps a very long time. With only two of us, each bag lasts a while but in foil storage we waste none of it. It lasts. We have enjoyed dozens of these bags over the last few years.

When these are in stock, they are so great! The price is awesome for this many romaine lettuce hearts/heads. I always take four out right away and place in gallon baggies, squeezing the air out. Those keep a little longer in the fridge this way while you use the other 2.

I used to buy this all the time, but recently I don’t know what’s going on at this location(Honolulu), They are selling stuff that beyond expiration date like this Romaine lettuce the Expiration date was in November, I got it on Dec 02, 2024. Should not be selling stuff that past expiration date, The people are paying with their hard earned money, You shouldn’t do that. What happened if people eat them and got sick? please think about that.

Recently I’ve had an issue with fresh vegetables from major grocery stores. Everything goes bad before my family has a chance to eat it. I have 4 adults and 2 kids in our home. This is a large pack of lettuce and it is still fresh and I’m on the last head. It’s bell at least a week since purchase and it’s not limp or brown yet. A plus in my book.

Great for the price when it's nice it's really nice green crunchy very fresh when you get it at the right time he has a downside to it {I found a lot of nats and fruit flies some even alive have pictures of them} It also says you don't have to wash it don't buy that wash it

In most cases this is a dirty, bug infested, from no taste to bitter, tough, and in some cases starting to rot on the interior leaves. We have returned this lettuce seversl times, and are given credit. Now I just toss it out for the squirrels, rabbits, and deer. Other times it is the total reverse of the above description. So as my title says, it is HIT OR MISS. Unfourtainly there is no way to really know what is in the plastic packaging. I can not either recommend or recommend.

We buy the hearts of Romain frequently as we prefer Romain lettuce for our salads and we have salad nearly every day. These last well when treated with care. I only cut what I’m going to use and place the rest in a Ziploc bag. A very economical choice.

A big heavy bag of the most beautiful, spring green, flavorful, super crispy, romaine hearts of lettuce I have ever owned. So tempting, I began putting spoonfuls of members Mark, chicken salad, A couple tiny tomato medleys from Sams, and a long strip, half small cucumber from Sam’s produce department, wrapped the wings of the lettuce around it, and had a yummy wrap, which I have never done before, but it was just so delicious and satisfying, I started wrapping up taco ingredients and the lettuce leaves as well. Before I knew it, I was putting everything into these Romain leaves. I just couldn’t stop myself. I didn’t need the usual tortilla wraps, Pita Rounds, nor even Arnold oat bread, all of which I used to require before these heads of Roman hearts came into my life. Obviously, this is vast dietary improvement. I didn’t even realize I was making until I looked back on it, I was just so satisfied with the deliciousness of the whole situation.

This is a Great value purchase! 3.98 for 5 Trimmed Romane Hearts. No waste with this ourchase. One bag of one not trimmed Romaine at the grocery store costs what 5 trimmed Romaine hearts at Sams. The other great thing, they lasted 2 weeksat home, not the short dates from other retailers.

Romaine lettuce is a great value, however the lettuce seems to go bad really easily, moisture builds up and then the lettuce gets rusty, soggy & wet and it seems to get it through out the heads. This didn't seem to happen the first 2 years we purchased the product.
