Always fresh! Always delicious! So I purchase this regularly. The key to making it last longe did this ... I take two out cut off ends and put in zip lock after squeezing out as much air as possible. So I take one zip lock with two in it cut it all up for salad as needed. Stays fresh for weeks!

Nice, full package of romaine hearts. Lasts longer in the fridge than you would think, which is handy because sometimes we eat it quickly, sometimes we don’t. Appreciate the size the the heads, pretty full and can get salads for two or three out of one head.

Had flavor. Easy to clean and cut up for salads. Used twice to make big salads for work. After cutting and putting in plastic bags,it lasted awhile and was convenient for a quick pre dinner salad after work. The cost to cut up yourself really outweighs precut bags and is fresher. To feed 20-30 ppl, its a great option and saved alot of money.

I understand you have to clean your lettuce before you eat it….but when I purchased this I didn’t realize this lettuce was freshly picked from the ground…..like really…freshly picked….so it was filthy with clumps of dirt in the bag. I didn’t have the time nor patience to deep clean all of that so I just threw it away and went to the local grocery store to buy more lettuce that I didn’t have to do as much prep to use. I wouldn’t purchase again.

Lasted no time. Had the same problem with brussel sprouts I bought 3 days ago. They were half brown when I cut into them last night. They were not expired. Also, fresh flowers I bought were supposed to last until 7/21. Half of them fell apart right out of the package and had to be tossed.

In most cases this is a dirty, bug infested, from no taste to bitter, tough, and in some cases starting to rot on the interior leaves. We have returned this lettuce seversl times, and are given credit. Now I just toss it out for the squirrels, rabbits, and deer. Other times it is the total reverse of the above description. So as my title says, it is HIT OR MISS. Unfourtainly there is no way to really know what is in the plastic packaging. I can not either recommend or recommend.

Great price. The heads of romaine stay fresh as it does take a few weeks to eat the five heads so no waste. I prepare a couple of heads for use by cutting off the end, rinsing well under water, spin dry to n a salad spinner, wrap in paper towels and store in a ziplock. Ready to use.

It stinks that my review is not totally positive. I’ve been purchasing this lettuce for a few months now and thoroughly enjoyed it until my last grocery hall. Prior to refrigerating the lettuce I unpackaged it and cleaned it thoroughly and noticed about five little bugs on my countertop that we’re not there prior to me unpacking the lettuce. As I proceeded with cleaning the lettuce , I started to discover several miniature insects on every bit of lettuce. I was totally grossed out by the situation and decided to completely throw away the lettuce. Needless to say I have yet to re-purchase this lettuce. Which I am extremely bummed by because the price is extraordinary and the taste is great. Hopefully this can be worked out with the manufacture and I can purchase again.

Romaine lettuce is a great value, however the lettuce seems to go bad really easily, moisture builds up and then the lettuce gets rusty, soggy & wet and it seems to get it through out the heads. This didn't seem to happen the first 2 years we purchased the product.

Recently I’ve had an issue with fresh vegetables from major grocery stores. Everything goes bad before my family has a chance to eat it. I have 4 adults and 2 kids in our home. This is a large pack of lettuce and it is still fresh and I’m on the last head. It’s bell at least a week since purchase and it’s not limp or brown yet. A plus in my book.
