The past few times the lettuce has been old with mildew type rot in center leafs. White milky subsance when you cut the base off.

This stuff was horrible no matter how thorough I washed it. Extremely bitter. Had to feed it to the chickens.

My large family enjoys the ease of prepping this Romaine better than iceberg lettuce & its affordable price.

Great buy, take it out of its bag, rinse it off and store in a container. This lettuce lasts me and I almost always use it all before it goes bad.
