Has TONS of tiny insects, probably aphids. The pics show what I saw in one head of lettuce after rinsing 4 times and washing it thoroughly with vinegar.

The worst Romania hearts I have ever had! The product I received was very dirty, most of the lettuce veins were rusty, and the ends of the leaves brown (dead). I will never buy this again.

its first time we bought it.. it is not fresh.. anyway i had to pick black and brownish leaf..otherwise we like it. online groceries are not fresh sometimes

Usually the six-pack of Romaine lettuce is a good deal. This last package was opened immediately and the contents were found to be old, “rusty,” discolored, and wilted. At least half of the package had to be tossed.
