I purchased the ProHeat 2X for home use. I have (had) a Bissel carpet cleaner that I purchased 7 years ago to use at home. My neice and I cleaned my dad's carpet recently and we used her new ProHeat 2X and my older Bissel. After using hers, I ordered one online. It cleans fantastic, leaves less water behind than my old one and the carpet was left cleaner. I gave 4 stars because the tanks require more frequent emptying than my old one. Just donated my old one to my daughter. #sweepstakes

When I emptied the tank, I was shocked at what came out of my carpets and that was after vacuuming them twice. They got back the new carpet smell and looked factory fresh!

On a separate occasion when I used it for the 3rd time, the dirty water did not filter well into the dirty water holder, which left my carpet extremely wet. I am not certain as to why that happened. However, I am willing to try it again, and if the problem happens again, I will contact Bissell. Thank you

Having been shipped FedEx, it is currently about ten miles away in a warehouse and has been since April 10th, 14 days now. It's not your fault, or their's. The whole virus thing has shippers all bottled up. All I can do is sit and wait for now.

I had a Bissell shampooer years ago and it didn't do the job I expected. Bought a 'professional' machine and that one bit the dust. We just bought this house about a year ago and I noticed that the carpets were really getting dirty quick. We were obviously hoodwinked by the previous owners when they said the carpets had been replaced/cleaned not too long before buying the place. I am so glad I researched carpet shampooers and bought this one. This machine really does the job its advertised to do. I couldn't believe the color of the water when I went over one section of the living room. It was black. I went over the same area again with plain water and it too was black. My carpets are dirtier than I thought. I now realize that it is going to take me quite a while to do my carpets. Because of surgery I cannot do them right now but I am going to set aside a week (or two) to do all of them because this machine has shown me just how filthy they are. I have no pets but it certainly looks like it from the nasty rinse water. I do wish that it had a wash/rinse function on it, not just a shampoo. I am going to buy another tank so that I can switch them from the soapy water to rinse water. That way I can get one area done completely before moving on the the next. I filled the water tank and put the called for amount of shampoo in it but found that it was too much shampoo that left foam on the carpet when I went forward with the machine. Next time I will use less shampoo. The way this machine works I don't think it will matter. I also bought some defoamer (the type you put in a hottub) to cut down on any excess suds in the return tank. Just a drop does the trick. The good: I am very pleased with this machine and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or buy it again. It meets most of my qualifications. The bad: I wish it had the wash/rinse so I didn't have to change tanks. But because of the great way it cleans, I will gladly switch tanks.

I have 2 English Mastiffs and 2 cats so with all the human and non human traffic this is a must have. Plus $10 goes to the Bissell Foundation. Great job Bissell!

My only complaints is i wish it came with something to attach the accessories and wish the cleaning tray for the newer model was compatible with this model.

I bought 2 Bissell shampooers in the last 5 years that were light and worked for about a year before the flow got clogged. Debris getting stuck in the rollers had to be removed by hand and was impossible to get out of the tank. Definitely not fun or sanitary. Thought I'd have to lug a large shampooer around until I discovered the ProHeat 2x. A significant improvement over the previous generation of shampooers and well worth the money.
