I have used home carpet cleaning machines in the past and also have Bissell portable cleaners, which i love. So when I needed to clean the whole room I purchased this machine. This machine is so much easier to use than my previous one. Heavily soiled areas benefited by going over twice, especially once the cleaning solution had been on carpet for awhile and had began to really breakup the soil. The clean out tool that comes with it was very handy in removing lint and hair from the brushes before putting it away for storage. I can easily maintain my carpets now and avoid having a professional come in to clean.

This model of the Bissell Pro Heat 2X Revolution works well. This is my third Bissell carpet cleaner over the past 20 years. Here are some things to note about this model. 1) The motor is the same as the others of this style so paying more will not make it a better or more powerful cleaner. 2) This one does not have the pre-treat cleanshot sprayer that the (1986) purple model has. 3) This brush roll is not removable for cleaning but the top cover snaps into place and can be removed for cleaning. Comes with a plastic clean out wand. 4) You can purchase a brush roll clean out tray separately from Bissell or vacuum supply sites to help wash the rollers. 5) If you leave the door open where the hose connects to the cleaner, it will not have proper suction so make sure that you hear it click shut. 6) If you use the express clean option it will only disperse half the amount of water for cleaning but, will dry faster. 7) Bissell cleaners of this type provide suction in both forward and back motion. 7) As with any vacuum or carpet cleaner no matter the brand you have to give the machine a chance to do its job. Do not push and pull too fast. It will not pull the dirt and water efficiently. With the exception of the cleanshot sprayer and not being able to remove the brushroll this model has all the features of the more expensive purple (1986) model. You would have to decide if the extra expense is worth it for those features. I have removed the carpet from the main floor of my home due to having 3 dogs so I won't use this cleaner as much as the others I have owned. But this one is definitely an upgrade being easier to use and clean from previous models. The supply of cleaning solution provided in the Sam's Club bundle is a great value as well. This carpet cleaner removed stains I have been trying to get out of my carpet for several years ! It is easy to use and lightweight ! I am very impressed !

Great steam cleaner. It was able to remove set in stains and pet oders. This is an awesome machine. I am glad I purchased this machine. Also a lot of sample bottles of cleaning solutions were provided.

I replaced my old hoover carpet cleaner with this one. It comes with a lot of tools including ones for stairs. It was able to lift pet stains out of the carpet that my old one couldn't . Some were many years old. Well worth purchasing

Okay, this is one heck of a carpet cleaner! I got it for the attachments so I could do my stairs, but when I used it on my carpet, I was just amazed. Their claim that it outcleans the top rental unit is not exaggeration. Not one bit. I got the Crosswave for my hardwood floors, and it's crazy-good as well! Carpets take about 4 hours to dry, if you are 'heavy' on dispensing the water like I am. If you have pet hair, I'd vacuum first. I tried it both ways, if you don't vacuum first, the Revolution will cough up a hairball every so often. Actually, they are pretty easy to pick up, so that's not the problem it sounds like. One heck of a carpet cleaner!!! I've recommended it to my friends.

The brushes on this cleans the carpet really well and lifts the pet and human hair but it doesn't pull the water out. The water tank drains but the capture tank hardly has any water in it.

I purchased this item online almost a month ago and when i first used it, it did a great job on my carpet. However, the second use did not do so well and the products for this is really expensive

Bought this three weeks ago, was cleaning hallway and dining room, went through three gallons of water but only got 1/4 gallon out it took three days for the carpet to dry out, no suction what so ever. Called Bissel and spent two hours on the phone, they were going to e-mail a return label so I could cut off the cord and send it back they would send me a new one. Two weeks go by, no e-mail, I returned it to Sams . Really a zero star rating.

Worked fine, until after about 20 minutes. Then it overheated, uncomfortably so. Later, after some cooling down, it took just 10 minutes before getting again too hot.
