Was excited to find this soap as it left the retail store shelves here in Canada long ago. I remembered how much I enjoyed how it left skin feeling and the gentle yet present fragrance. The fragrance is similar but something has definitely been changed. Opening the multi pack, I was overwhelmed by the scent! Really very strong and not all that pleasant. Sorry that I bought a 16 pack! Have opened a bar to use and can only hope that the scent will soften. Familiar to the soap I so enjoyed, but for whatever reason, way too intense now, bring back the old formula!!

I normally do not write reviews. The only reason why I am writing this is because I am sensitive to certain senses. When I purchased the caress so pictured above, it shows it’s kind of in a peach colored box. That was before they changed the smell of the soap to more of a rose smell. So buying it was deceiving to me because I thought I was gonna get the peach colored box of original scent> Just wanted to leave a message here in case anybody else is thinking they are going to get the original sent unfortunately I will not be able to use this soap. Been all in all purchasing it and receiving it was fine..

I have used this soap since the early 1980s, knowing I would smell amazing and feel clean. Imagine my surprise two nights ago when I opened my new bar. It smelled funny and my skin felt like it had a waxy film to it. YUCK! Not a good change, Caress. If it's not broke, don't fix it! I guess I will change to Dove from now on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve Been using the caress beauty bar soap and I’m impressed with the scent that is so good . It’s so soft and feminine and actually lingers on your skin even after you’re out of the shower. And after hours you can still smell it on your body.

I'm thinking your company hired the people that invented new Coca-Cola which flopped on its face because your new Caress bar doesn't smell as good as the original it's not even close to the original it's too sweet and overpowering in fact pretty much everyone in our family { that's 16 lost customers to you} have quit using your bar soap. It is really a shame because my granddaughters say that my wife doesn't smell like grandmother anymore because she doesn't use your Caress bar because she can't get the old product with the old fragrance please fire your new Coke promotional people and go back to the product that made caress the enjoyable bar soap that it was. Have you noticed that people who put five stars are ones who received free product and the people that did not approve of your product have been long time users that's your customer base that you have permanently lost by changing something that was fantastic into something that is mediocre at best and that's only because you can compare it to the original. Those using it for the first time if they could compare it to the old fragrance would pick the old fragrance most of the time. I'm sure. Please bring back the old fragrance or at least make both products and like new Coca-Cola put new caress on it and see which one sells better... at least give your customers the choice Don't Force something that people who have been using this product for 20-30 years or more don't appreciate very disappointing

As I have gotten older and developed some health problems my shin has become very dry. Up until now i have avoided any soap that had oils or moisturizer in them because i would break out. I decided I had to try something beyond body lotion and Caress has helped a great deal. I am washing my hands very often so I use Caress for my hands as well as body. I have seen an improvement in just a few days. I get a nice scent and lots of bubbles too for a added benefit.

I bought two packs of this soap as it was on sale and wanted to try them out. These bars of soap have a very nice smell to them, and don't leave my hands and skin feeling dried out. They are pretty as well, and I have them out in the guest bathroom.

This has been my go to soap for years. I love the way that feels on my skin, and I also love the scent. This is a great deal for 16 bars of soap. They are the nice large bars so this pack last a long time. Even with the family of four. I highly recommend this soap. You will love it!

Why did you change the formula? This new scent STINKS. It smells like the dollar general bathroom. The original scent was absolutely amazing. The new one is GROSS. You lost a long time customer and a family of 8 people who absolutely loved daily silk in bar and body wash. We had every possible form of it, even the travel size that was so hard to find! I'll never buy it again!

I have been a Caress user for over 40 years. No longer since the scent change. Not necessarily because the scent, the soap itself is not the same. Leaves skin tight and drier. Also leaves a film in the bath water and on sides of tub.. very disappointing. At least give us a choice to buy older version.
