[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This soap is wonderful! It leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth, and clean without that dry, tight feeling. Plus, it smells amazing! Definitely a great option if you want something gently, moisturizing, and pleasantly scented for daily use. Although the price is on the high end, it is certainly worth it.

I'm so angry Caress changed the scent of the soap it smells strong and the sad part for me is it no longer moisturizes like the original bar- bring it back or sell both! I would like to have the original bar back and if I can buy them please let me know HOW!!!!

Chris's quality of their soap has gone down tremendously from what their original ingredients were I preferred it now it seems like a cheaper valued soap with less quality and less cleanliness I do not like i the new ingredient and and the scent is not the same it's smells like something I bought at a cheap store that feels cheap as well I do not like the consist feels cheap as well I do not like the consistency or the lather for the smell . so excited

I enjoyed the previous iteration of this for about 25 years with zero issues despite having problems with several other soaps. Upon opening one of the new boxes, I could immediately tell that the scent had changed from light and pleasant, to harsh, overpowering, and artificial. After using it, it left my skin feeling dry and tight, in stark contrast to the previous one. Comparing the ingredients reveals that it switched from a formulation that included tallow to a formulation mostly comprised of palm oil, almost certainly as a cost-cutting measure (at the expense of my skin). This soap is another victim of private equity cancer slowly but surely metastasizing throughout everything you enjoy. This product was held by Unilever under a spinoff called "Elida Beauty", which was then sold to a private equity firm named "Yellow Wood Partners" in 2024, who said that they are "excited to work with the Elida Beauty team to lead these brands into their next phase of growth and expansion. Consumers around the world love these brands as they are an important part of their daily lives". What that means is that they were excited to take advantage of the reputation of the product that you trust and enjoy by replacing its ingredients with awful, cheap alternatives, then spending a tiny bit of cash to get influencers who enjoy free things to "review" it, as can be seen in the review section here. If you are unhappy with what this firm has done to your soap, perhaps you can be happy that someone with more money than they deserve is getting even more rich by destroying the things you enjoy. I personally will be occasionally looking up "Elida Beauty" and "Yellow Wood Partners" to ensure that none of the brands that I purchase are under their ownership, and I will do the same with the next private equity firm they are sold to after Yellow Wood Partners milks them dry.

This is a new version, it is awful. It smells funny, it's goopy. You need to go back to the original version. I've been using that since I was a young girl. I'm 65 now. I'm so disappointed. I love the old version. The scent wasn't too heavy. It was moisturizing and lovely. Please bring back the old version. That all love so much

I came here just to see if anyone else had noticed a weird scent to this soap, or was it just my nose. I see several other posts commenting on the smell, so I will add a review as well. I used to love this soap, it had a nice creamy, light scent to it. I always used it on my face because it was gentle. I just purchased a 4-pack and after taking out the first bar, I thought...ewwwww, this STINKS. It now has a harsh, very strong perfume-y smell. Caress, why, why, why did you do this? I just don't understand why people have to change things when it was perfect the way it was before. Guess I will now go back to Dove because I will never use this soap again.

I have been using this product since I was a child. My grandma loved it and I continued to use it as an adult. I am afraid to say it...but it's been going on 50 years. I love the smell of that soap and it reminds me of my grandma so much. To my surprise when I went to stock back up on my soap and it does not smell the same anymore!! I put it back in the box and I just want my old Caress soap scent back!! The sad part is I couldn't find just like a 2 pack I had to buy an 8 pack. I think I may have to return it. So sad.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used to before, but the sense is what gets me. 🌸The white peach and orange blossom smell so fresh and floral without it being overpowering. I’d lather really well, leaves my skin feeling, clean and most importantly soft without stripping.
