This soap is perfect! I have sensitive skin so normally use goat’s milk soap and sometimes it has an overpowering scent. I decided to try this and am so glad I did. The lather is great for shaving and the soap leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. The scent is lasting but more of a delicate smell. If happiness had a smell, this would be it. I live on a farm and after a long day, it’s strong enough to get you clean but it’s so soothing and wonderful smelling that all the aches of the day are washed away. In the mornings, the feel and scent are uplifting to start the day. I absolutely love this soap!

I noticed that this new formulation makes your skin look and feel like it's "waterproof". It makes "water beads" on your skin like you have put on super waterproof sunscreen. Not sure if this is good or bad. Not sure if because of this your skin may not absorb the lotion you put on after your shower. Also, the scent is stronger than I like or care for in a soap.

Not fond of the peach scent but this is what Sam’s ship to my home. I ordered the original caress not the peach. I’m sure someone out there likes it more than me. I wish they had contacted me to ask if this is what I wanted in its place but they did not do so. Plus I don’t live close enough to a Sam’s to have the time to return it.

Left skin too dry. Unable to use ended up, giving it away to someone who likes caress.

I typically buy Dove or Caress. Both have recently been disappointing. I have noticed a difference in the products that I have become so fond of and have used for many many years but found that both are lacking in their lather. something has changed. I decided to give caress another try...it was the more economical of the two. I am sad to say that once again I am disappointed ... this time the lather is good as well as the fragrance however it leaves a residue/film feeling that I can not deal with. I can also feel it in my towel after sever rinsings. I will be returning this product.

This change by Unilever is abominable. They need to remove “silk and silkining” from the description. It is harsh now and strips oils from your skin. And the scent is off putting. I tried to give away what I had bought but no one wanted it. I had to donate it.

I'm just trying this caress soap for the first time, because my mom used to use it when I was a kid back in the 60's , and she always smells so good coming out the bathroom, this isn't the smell that I remember at all it doesn't smell so pleasant, I don't like it at all.

I thought this was a new one because of the color but nope it’s a “revamp” of the original but it does not smell that great nothing like the original and it made my skin basically repel water and feel weird like if you were to put water on an inflated balloon and rub it. I’m keeping it in my work truck for now as a last resort unless I can find another use for it I wouldn’t even donate it. Not gonna give someone something I wouldn’t even use.

The new formula is not a positive change. Unilever has ruined the gentle scent and skin softness that the original bars had. This soap leaves a film on your body and is tacky until dried. Goodbye Caress... unless they revert to the old formula I won't buy them again and these new ones are going to the trash bin.

Not the Caress bar soap of its ORIGINAL smooth fragrance REPUTATION! Should be IMMEDIATELY REMOVED! It makes skin crocodile 🐊 ROUGH SKIN & causes ITCHES! Something WRONG with the NEW VERSION! I’ve bought this product for the past 35 years, and now won’t buy it until the original comes back, if it ever does.
