I’m in my mid 40s and have used Caress my entire life. My mom used it before me, my grandma used it before her, and I used it on my children. Our entire family has always used and loved Caress, it’s a staple in our homes and we have purchased many thousands of bars since we came to America in the 60s. I’m also autistic and it was one of my comfort products that always makes me feel calm and happy. So imagine my horror when I went to buy a new box only to find out my all-time favorite soap is now a completely different, far worse product. At first I thought the store was just out of the classic since the only Caress bars they had were in these new pink boxes next to an empty space. I went to a different store but same situation there. Huh… maybe the packaging just got a redesign? Nope- the wonderful soft scent that’s been a consistent part of my life since childhood has been replaced by something I can only compare to cheap gas station perfume. I cannot believe anyone thought this migraine-inducing stench was an improvement. I hate it so, so much. I can’t even describe how disappointed I am. I’m honestly devastated. Call me dramatic but I feel like crying knowing I might never get to enjoy my favorite scent again. I’m not the only angry customer either, not by far. It’s pretty telling that almost every positive review of the "new and improved" formula contains “this review was collected as part of a promotion”. You must be buying good reviews, cause all the others are full of complaints! You are going to lose a LOT of customers over this unless you listen to us and bring back the formula we actually like. I genuinely can’t understand why you’d RUIN your best product, seriously why? Every time a company reformulates a popular product, customers invariably hate it and quit buying it. This is New Coke, soap edition. STOP FIXING WHAT ISN'T BROKEN! Dove will be getting our money from now on.

Long time user, so much so I stock up with the 16 count bar pack. I decided to go buy two 16 packs to stock up the other day. Opened it up, took one for the shower and one for the bathroom. I found the perfume smell was overwhelming and did not feel clean after taking the shower. I reek of perfume. I compared the bars to what I already have and there is no difference in labeling but the scent is different on the new ones and overpowering. I hope this was just a manufacturing error since I am a bit sensitive to perfumes. Otherwise I will need to find another brand besides being stuck with 32 bars of soap I can't use.

This is a beautiful and clean spring time scent. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect peach scented soap to go with my “Peach” shower routine. I use this after my antibacterial soap and it adds so much moisture back into my skin. I use this CARESS soap with an exfoliating glove to give the best lather! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a budget friendly soap.

CARESS WHY WOULD U DO THIS TO YOUR CONSUMERS?!?! I AM DISAPPOINTED WITH THE UPDATE TO CARESS SOAP. MY FAMILY AND I HAVE BEEN A FAITHFUL CONSUMER OF THIS PRODUCT FOR 10+ YEARS. THE BAR SOAP SMELLS CHEAP AND LEAVES MY SKIN FEELING LIKE IT'S BEEN WASHED IN WAX. (FEELS LIKE CHEAP HOTEL SOAP!) THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE PREVIOUS VERSION. EVERYONE WILL BE LOOKING FOR ANOTHER SOAP TO USE AND AFFECT YOUR BUSINESS. CARESS, YOU ARE LOSING FAITHFUL CONSUMERS DUE TO MESSING WITH THE PREVIOUS FORMULA. IF EVERYONE COULD LEAVE NEGATIVE STARS, THEY WOULD. :(

I absolutely love this product. Always leaves my skin feeling clean soft and fresh. With this bar its best to apply a body oil right after you get out the shower just to keep the moisture in.Other than that this is a great bar that Ive been using for years.

I have used the Caress Daily Silk for many years and I have to say the new scent it horrible: smells like a cheap perfume. Also, the new bar does not moisturize at all, it actually dries out my skin. I just don't know why you couldn't leave well enough alone. Sorry, but this costumer will be looking for another brand that will moisturize my skin. Good Bye Caress

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This soap lathers perfectly and has such a beautiful feminine floral scent to it. It leaves my skin smooth as butter and I feel so clean. I typically don’t like bar soaps but this one stole me at the first usage!

I’m so devastated that you guys have changed the formula! I couldn’t find that nostalgic orange daily silk bar of soap anywhere. I’ve been to every store possible looking for it and it’s all gone it’s now replaced with the new one! PLEASE BRING IT BACK! It’s not the same!
