While a couple of them seemed to give me a small cognitive boost, I did not notice any energy boost. Now that I have been using the Qunol brand for just a couple of months, I have notice a definite improvement in both my memory and my energy levels. Qunol truly works for me, and I shall continue to use it. I find that taking two capsules a day (one in the morning and one in the evening) is optimizing the benefit that I receive. It was recommended to me by my nurse practitioner because I also take a statin for high cholesterol. She said that it could help with the muscle aches that sometimes happen when on a statin. It is an important part of my cardio protective regimen.

I looked at generic options, but they had soy as an inactive ingredient and I stay away from soy. So the cost difference was well worth it. Additionally, Qunol is water and fat soluble and the generic brands were not. Overall, I saw that Qunol was a better product. And in the short time I have taken this product along with diet, my blood pressure has dropped significantly and I'm no longer worried about my health. I will keep monitoring my progress. I did some research and found CoQ10 could reduce blood pressure. So I went a purchased a bottle, went back to update my physical and pressure was down over 10 points on both numbers. I have a machine to test at home and it was down again so overall 15 points in about 7 days. I will continue to take and keep record to see if I maintain a lower level.

I tak a statin for high cholesterol and this is the most effective CoQ10 form I have found to reduce muscle pain when taking the statin drug. It works.
