I had to replace the blade unit and got the heavy duty blade unit. The teeth on this new unit were immediately chewed up by the base motor unit. The company replaced the unit free of charge and the second time I used it both the teeth on the base motor unit and the blade unit disintegrated. I was told that I need to replace both when the base unit is back in stock. It is too bad this unit does not last more than a couple times. When it works, it is great. But hard to justify spending money replacing a product that is of defective design.

I purchased my magic bullet with the idea I could make myself smoothies and drinks with blended ice but i could not. The magic bullet failed to crush the ice even a little bit. I also attempted to blend some partially frozen fruit and it did not blend that either. It blended smaller berries but would not blend strawberries. The only use for this machine would be to blend together soft food items.

bought this last week and the fist smoothie I made was perfectly blended. but ever since every time I make a smoothie the machine shuts off when it thinks its done and doesn't let me blend anymore and even if I take the plug out and put it back in it doesn't work. also when it blends for a few mins the machine gives off a smell.

My first Magic Bullet was purchased in 2008 - nearly ten years ago! I often use it for smoothies or ice drinks so extra "duty" is frequently required. My first unit lasted 5-6 years and then I purchased a used one on eBay (would never recommend purchasing look-alike assessors on eBay - bad idea). A couple days ago a plastic piece broke on the unit disallowing the blade to make connection; it seemed it was about time I got a "real" machine for smoothies and the like. I made a special early morning round trip of about 50 miles to get the "real deal"; I had read several reviews on line so knew pretty well what was out there. After visiting a couple retail stores and viewing several makes I found JUST what I thought was BEST... another Magic Bullet. The ability to combine the use of a blender and juicer container (came with my first unit in 2008) as well as all the other purposes served by the Magic Bullet convinced me of my purchase; in addition I like the size of the cups both large and small, using both several times a week for this or that.

This is perfect size for me, and easy to clean too. I only need small servings, but I do wish the containers had the size listed on them.

I wish I had NEVER purchased this product because they WEAR OUT TOO SOON! I purchased my second Magic Bullet and the exact same thing happened, both the rubber and plastic gears WORE OUT! I was ready to toss in the trash, but after purchasing a Blender in hopes to get the same results, I was disappointed. SO..... now this 70+ old lady needs to purchase replacement parts and HOPE after viewing many youtube videos, I PRAY I can save them! MAGIC BULLET should provide these GEAR FOR FREE!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always had traditional blenders. The large kind that can be difficult to clean and store. They take up space and are bulky. This thing is amazing! I love that I can make up a smoothie in smaller portions and with the modular containers I can make it in the cup that I drink it out of so it's ready to go. It's perfect for taking camping too due to its size as well. It took me awhile to figure out the perfect ratio of solids to liquid, but I have it dialed in now and thoroughly enjoy this blender.

I bought a magic bullet 30 years or so ago. All my friends bought one when they saw how it worked. My friends have died but the bullet was left to their children who are still using it. Unfortunately I had to buy a new one because mine's died ahead of me.

Didnt own the product for less than a year and all the blades stopped working because of a design flaw. I got the usual "the product was manufactured in 2013 so it's no longer covered", as if its the clients fault for knowing when a product was manufactuted. Then I had to pay money to extend the warranty on the magic bullet so that I could get replacement parts. Theses parts costing almost as much as a brand new machine.
